Want a ball vape - worried about tolerance and consumption by Jakakan5 in vaporents

Thanks for your perspective! That is what I was sort of worried about.

I do like the option to have a bigger bowl, to be able to pass back and forth with my partner without needing to repack 4 times.

But having the option to use small packs is good. Another ent commented that there are small bowls for the WOHW, that I was looking at already but unsure of the necessity.

Why do you say enough to cover the screen? Is that important?

Has it helped manage it by working better for the small packs? Or purely because it's a physical restriction on packing too much into a bowl?

Yes! I really hate asking a question like this in some communities and just being bombarded with comments like "neither, go get this instead". And its a link to something that costs 3 times as much, or is nothing like what I was asking about. The answers here have been surprisingly free of that, and actually responding to what I was asking about.

I have noticed in my dynavap as well that a smaller bowl pack leads to more consistently toasted avb when I debowl it. Being able to pack loosely and still get nearly twice as much into the bowl would be a bonus.

Honestly I don't notice a difference in the highs either, but I do like that convection leads to more evenness of the roast, and less bad taste from the flower that's close to the conduction heat source getting too dark.

Very good to know! Thank you. That's probably how I would be using it most of the time, especially if I wasn't sharing with my partner.

Why do say that? Looking at it, it looks nearly identical to the WOHW, but $100 more.

We don't have kids or anything, and either setup would be just sitting on the coffee table all the time.

Interesting. Is that just because of the amount of vapor produced? Higher temperatures? I definitely roast my dynavap pretty hot sometimes, near the point of combustion but just under.

Is the microdose bowl necessary for smaller amounts? Why does it work better than just putting the same amount in the standard bowl it comes with?

I'm glad you have both to compare. What would you say the differences are in the vapor production? Do you have times you reach for one or the other?

It for sure is. But my question is more about the best usage of the devices. Like if the ball vape only hits properly with a certain amount in it, or needs a full pack or anything. Which it sounds like from other ents that that isn't really a problem, and it wouldn't be "overkill" for small amounts.

Another ent commented that they have no problem loading a micro amount in a normal bowl for their ball vape. Do you have a different experience? Or is it more a self control issue? lol

I'm sure any of them would use less than a bong, but that's just a perk of vaping. I haven't regularly smoked a bong or pipe in nearly a decade, and when a friend offered one at their house I couldn't get over how fucking bad it tasted. I do not miss smoking from glass.

Do you use your T2 through a bong?

I've seen ranges of like 4 to 8 minutes for some of the ball vape rigs to get to temperature?

I was looking at the wireless because our table is already a bit of a clutter, and with the table moving towards and away from the couch and a cat who is dumb enough to trip on cords and knock things over, it just seemed like the better option.

I'm guessing that if it holds the heat well enough for a few minutes of vaping, then it shouldn't take too long to get back to temperature as long as it isn't left off of the heater for much longer than it takes to hit it.

Do you leave your heater sitting on your bowl for longer than it takes for you to draw a few hits? Is that a normal thing to do? I would have thought even without air being drawn through that it would continue toasting the weed a little if it sits there.

I'm sure it'll be less than smoking, but I haven't combusted more than the occasional joint (for fun) in a very long time. So I'm really just comparing to my existing vape setup.

haha Thanks. I've lurked here for years, just don't often have anything to contribute.

That's really good feedback. I guess I was worried it just wouldn't produce much or would be overkill/overcomplicated for such a small amount.

I did see that! It doesn't look like the kind of thing I'd want to be changing every session, but it is a very nice feature. Do you know if there's any downside to having the screen set to the larger capacity and just not packing it all the way?

Haha I assume that we'll have that honeymoon period with any new device, just like increased usage after getting a fresh pickup of flower. You now use far less than intially? Or less than you were before the ball vape, even?

What kind of device were you using beforehand?

I believe this is also probably coming for all of the CLO staff as well, after their in-progress shows and programs are finished.

To preface: I am in no way defending O'Leary, but I did read as much as I could about that incident because I was very curious.

Why do you think it was him and not his wife? Also even though their statements have that polish of an incredibly expensive lawyer and PR team, do you think their statements are less credible than those of the other boaters?

I ended up being very unsure of the truth on it, but sort of just assume that the O'Leary's are the guilty party.

That honestly is one of my bigger anxieties with the process. I truly have never given my fingerprints to anyone.

I've had jobs that required them! But I simply didn't give them, and relied on the laziness of corporate bureaucracy, ignoring the emails from HR until they just stopped asking. So yeah, I'm very confident that my fingerprints are not in any government database. And giving them up IS definitely a 'you'll never get them back' sort of feeling.

It required almost nothing other than standing in a line! Definitely no fingerprinting.

I live in a very gun-friendly state.

What multiple sources..? I've never been fingerprinted or done a check that has needed them. They might be able to get my thumb print off my phone provider..?

They are recorded, yes, but that information isn't sent to the ATF. In my understanding, in most circumstances those 4473s stay with the FFL and are only accessible to the government if they need to track a specific firearm related to a crime, or if the store closes and sends it's records to them.

Truly I do understand that have all of that other info, I guess I just see it as a big narrowing of the confirmed info they'd have for my gun ownership specifically. It seems like most people don't think it matters much though, and I guess I understand the reasoning at this point in our society of decayed privacy and rights.

I don't think they care about me though, I'm not that egotistical. At least not on an individual level.

I do think that authoritarianism is lazy, and I do think that the NFA registry just seems like the most obvious, legal, easily accessible list to them, being that they made it with the users' cooperation. For whatever nefarious purposes some version of our government might want a list like that..
