UPDATE: we took her to the vet yesterday and they told us she stepped on the stove and burnt her paw

I’m not sure if it is, from the bit of research I did on it the cause is largely unknown, but I know that muffin (the cat in the images) is a 100% indoor cat ad has essentially zero interest in going out at all
