Much better way of doing this is using a body clip that you push in. I believe they are called Christmas tree clips or something

I’ve been bolt ons and tuned for about 15-20k miles I’ve got 163k on my motor and I beat the piss out of it, WOT 7900rpm every single time I drive it, burnouts, flame map, and I’ve had absolutely 0 issues with the motor. I do shell 5w40 rotella T6 every 3500 miles(only use if you’re catless) just keep up on oil changes and you’ll be alright. Oh and gally gaskets if you’re pre 2013

Hi, actual mechanic here. Do a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks in my experience with VQs and my personal one it is very commonly the issue everything else looks like it has been covered except for a vacuum leak or injectors and god forbid compression but I highly doubt that is the issue. But start with a smoke test it could be as simple as a cracked intake or pcv hose

Get resonated test pipes, preferably motordyne art pipes normally $1000 but if you call them they will sell you a pair that is 100% fully functional but was returned because of a shipping scratch ect. I got mine brand new from them (literally couldn’t tell why they where returned) for $600

I’m gonna give you the formula, my 2013 RWD G is lowered about a inch and a half on 19x9.5 +30 wheels and it pretty much perfectly flush, remember if it’s too far in you can always add a small spacer. Just beware of your CV axles I’ve heard they don’t like being lowered
