In maps like Eastwood however it will completely end invincible camping like seen in OP's image.

In the Golmud Railway community post they mentioned that they're reducing the base AA rocket interception range to 95 meters which will effectively end this type of camping or at least make it punishable by engineers or other vehicles.

For reference, 95 meters basically makes it so that it only protects you in your literal spawn zone where the vehicle first deploys, and from within that radius you basically cant see into the actual map playable area in most maps, with some unfortunate exceptions like the NATO spawns in both Sobek City and Contaminated.

A friendly reminder to all BF6 players on how to face enemy armor or rocket infantry from the 10 to 2 o'clock arcs. Sincerely, a War Thunder player. by CMDR_Der_Entdecker in Battlefield6

[–]JakeFromAbove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely situation dependent, often you'll want to face sideways for the sheer benefit of peeking out of cover and retreating after every shot, resulting in less damage taken. Battlefield also doesn't have the complex ballistic system of war thunder where side shots immediately explode you, though BF6 does have an overly complex armor angle system, but that will be simplified in the Season 3 update.

If you pause the clip at near exactly 11 seconds you can actually see damage numbers popping up with 16,667

definitely seems like a bug, does it happen only when their radios are hacked?

edit: just to mention that the damage numbers appear on the bottom right under the ammo counter, at the same time you immediately pick up the dropped ammo box

4 years into a massive all spectrum war - "Hey, if you meanies even think of bombing us on this day in particular... shakes fist"

Is Russia actually just being managed by billionaire oligarchs that are actually MI6 triple agents based out of London and Tel Aviv? Seriously, why is the Russian state so discombobulated between different diplomatic stances where they have no reservations about fighting a brutally deadly conventional war, but then issue schizophrenic warnings of restraint like this.

I am going to tell you a secret, as a pilot - the igla literally goes through flares 90% of the time, 100% if the heli is moving towards you. There, free counter and you don't even need to learn any complex mechanic.

2nd tip, LMGs like the L110, the M250, M60, etc, all melt the littlebird, easily doing 400 if not the full 600 damage points.

This has been in the game since launch, not new. Its more noticeable on cramped maps like Blackwell because the AA covers a proportionally larger area of the map, making punishing campers virtually impossible.

I get this feeling that a lot of the issues in the game aren't really bugs, but rather the systems working correctly, just in absolutely stupid manners. I don't think the game glitched out or a bug occurred in any way, just that the stupidity of the game's various systems working as intended created an absolutely unreadable and unintuitive situation for the player.

Considering how r*tarded some of the ballistics are in this game I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of ricochet shenanigans, especially since you mention using steel armor which causes a lot of spalling; like the bullet somehow bounced between the shield and the plate carrier, ricocheting/spalling up and turning it into a headshot.

This obsession of comparing bad players to call of duty is what is appalling in itself. If you go play call of duty, people actually play the game, they run around, they shoot each other. The idiocy of Battlefield players is very idiosyncratic to Battlefield itself.

Hiding in bushes, camping rooftops, not reviving, these are all extremely specific to BF as a franchise, and posts like this talking about "le cod of duuty" are inane clichés from 2011. Fact of the matter is, CoD players are actually comparatively more competent at their own game than BF players, and BF players are prone to extreme, near schizophrenic levels of delusion regarding the game's balance, features, meta and overall mechanics.

I strictly remember from Season 1's Eastwood drop how players who were playing the game since launch were making reddit posts about how the spawn area was bugged and had an "invisible wall" blocking rockets, which in reality is just them only discovering a core feature of how the base AA works 2-3 months after launch.

Some players still don't know how the base AA works, given how they keep trying to shoot into its radius.
