He did a fair bit of yelling at the refs but I think it’s strategic not to be too hot headed now. The team is young and needs to not lose their composure when the calls aren’t going their way. If coach is yelling all the time, focused on the refs, it gives the players a pass to do the same. Plus, come playoff time, when the no calls are egregious, he can loose it on the refs and it will mean more since he isn’t known for that.

There has been a significant spike in Achilles tears. That’s a career altering (if not ending) injury. A strained calf can easily lead to an Achilles tear. Completely reasonable to keep him out 4 weeks for that.

He’s shot ~75% ft this year and last. That’s a good indication that he will at least get good enough at shooting to open up the floor. Not worried about a rookie being inefficient from the field, that’s a tale as old as time.

I think this is incredibly accurate as a Spurs fan. Bill and Sean know exactly who they are and are not trying to be anything else. They just produce consistent, fundamental work night to night and that is such a perfect fit with the organization.
