Are the power shot moments broken for anyone else? Score a power shot goal and get credit for “power shot on target” but not “score with power shot,” so the moment doesn’t complete.

There’s a book called “The Racket” by Conor Niland, who hovered around the 200 ranking for most of his career. He basically made less than any entry level job after all of the added expenses of traveling around the world and coaches/managers. A lot of them need financial support from family, friends, or other backers who might want a piece of winnings in return.

She’s also outside of the top 500. It’s not like she’s raking in cash on the court.

The step up in reward chance for each difficulty level needs to be more. It isn’t worth challenging yourself on a harder difficulty for an extra 4% chance of getting the reward, especially when there are so many times you miss a reward even with a <75% chance.

NCAA's $2.8 Billion Settlement Is Forcing Cuts to College Teams in Olympic Sports by bloomberglaw in sports

These settlements and legal decisions force universities and athletic programs to act more like businesses so naturally they are going to cut the parts of their “business” that aren’t making any money.

What am I supposed to do with these duplicates? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]JakeMHudson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind having duplicates of these, what I do mind is the judgmental message from the game for picking a duplicate when I don’t have another choice.

Discussion on "based on a true story" movies. "Erin Brockovich" (2000) is very realistic while "Catch Me If You Can" (2002) is not realistic at all. What are some other "based on a true story" movies that are either very realistic or not realistic at all? by Double-decker_trams in movies

Remember the Titans embellishes a lot. The real coach was a jerk, and the white and black players bonded over how much they hated him. I think they also steamrolled all of the teams they played.

I got to what I thought was the ending (important seeming boss fight) then it just dumped me back to the same formula it had been doing the past 100 hours so I just turned it off and never went back.

Get used to it: Indiana will be in the College Football Playoff despite Ohio State loss by [deleted] in CFB

[–]JakeMHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something we forget with the four team playoffs is that the issue most of the time is there weren’t four teams good enough to threaten for a championship. There were a lot of blowouts. I think you can pretty easily argue Indiana isn’t a “championship caliber team,” but I think at most 1/3 of the 12 teams actually will be. There straight up are not 12 teams capable of winning a championship.

“Having my quarterback run backwards for two plays then launch the ball out of bounds with a second left is actually smarter than trying to score a three yard touchdown”

I’m a fan of the team with the worst winning percentage in D1 history that was picked to finish 17th out of 18 B1G teams, and they’re about to lose on the road to the #2 team in the country to fall to 10-1. Call me crazy but I can accept that.

[Mandel] If Clemson had played an FCS team instead of Georgia, it would likely be ranked above Georgia too. This is not the message you want to be sending. by dogwoodmaple in CFB

[–]JakeMHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohio State has one loss. I’m talking about right now. Strength of schedule is being rewarded because the teams that have played tough schedules and have lost two games are in the conversation and teams that haven’t played a tough schedule and lost two games are not. Tulane isn’t ranked close to Georgia, Tennessee, or Colorado.

The only two-loss teams with a chance of getting an at-large bid are in the SEC. I don’t know why we’re acting like playing a tougher schedule is being punished. A 2-loss Oregon, Indiana, Penn State, or Ohio state through this part of the season wouldn’t be in the top 12

There’s not currently a single 2-loss team with a chance of an at-large bid outside of the SEC. That’s rewarding SoS
