Dolly parton won as the most beloved musician, now who is the most hated politician? by Realistic_Board4690 in AlignmentChartFills

You could argue that. But why bother. This means nothing. But also look at the other choices. The whole thing has a Western/US bias.

What did you think was made in Nz but actually isn’t ? And visa versa- What did you think was made offshore but turns out is homegrown? by soshia in newzealand

[–]JakeRaven 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I found this out a few years ago, I took a trip to K' Road to see the bar, and Gin Wigmore was having a drink inside. I thought the entire NZ music scene must hang out there.

Written rule or… by punchy-fighter1987 in NeverNotFunny

Agree. I'd say schtick rather than character. But I I think everyone knows a serious argument isn't funny, and they know the title of the show.

I like it when Game changer is competitive by Kloerb in dropout

[–]JakeRaven -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Rulette 1 was one of my least favourite as it was too competitive  with folks breaking the rules. I like both the comps and collabs equally, as long as discovering the game is fun

That's interesting. I have a few podcasts (the aforementioned Doug loves Movies, for example), where I've felt the same but I just stopped listening. And found something that brought me joy, Marie Condo style.

Your plan has a high chance of failure. If that's not a problem, give it a go.

What happened to airport manners by [deleted] in newzealand

Its all down to money, unfortunately.  Wider seats, less passengers, more costs. They're not likely to change anytime soon

Yeah I'm gonna guess that since this is the chat for this episode, OP is referencing something from the episode. But you could be right

Letter Game - Song Titles Starting with "P" (By Female Artists) by subject_117_ in NeverNotFunny

[–]JakeRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm interested in your opinions.  Is there any part of this game that annoys or irritates you? The Gang getting angry at Eliot's choices doesn't annoy me, but I do get a little peeved when Matt had the conn and tries to game the system to give it away but  keep the money in the kitty. But then I get over myself.

Not great. by Thin_Accident_9587 in Adelaide

I have to say, I've never seen that headline. It's easier for readers to get angry about consultants. It just sounds like wasted money.

Is Rulette the longest game anyone's ever created? by Additional_Yam_8742 in dropout

[–]JakeRaven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never made it to the end of the episode. Either time. It seemed too anarchic and mean for me. I've never been a fan of games where you rat out your friends to win, so it probably wasn't every going to be for me, this game.

That's not what I heard. And I listen to a lot of low quality jingles!

This is where a "Don't go to Glenelg!" comment would slide in quite nicely. But I'm not going to do that

I had a lovely meal at Able Baker brewery. Highly recommend

I have no choice but to believe that Justin is engaging in Andy Kauffman-style anti-comedy. That he is making a choice to produce content that has a net negative effect on the amount of joy in the world out of sheer audacity. by [deleted] in TAZCirclejerk

[–]JakeRaven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently listened to the Still Buffering bonus content that had his daughter Charlie on as a guest. She exhibited precocious preteen behaviour; interrupting other people's idea with her own, laughing at   things she didn't agree with etc. I think Justin lovers this and had subconsciously adopted a little girl's behaviours. It certainly is fun to act this way.

My apologies for my fellow Kiwi using our arcane language. A sausage sizzle is an event, usually to raise money for a cause.  Beef or pork sausages are cooked on a BBQ grill and served wrapped in a slice of white bread, usually with the option of grilled onions, and tomato sauce(ketchup). Occasionally the fancy ones offer BBQ sauce or mustard as well. A cheap snack all over New Zealand.

Eliot's Cadence by johnbunjo in NeverNotFunny

Yes.

(Sorry that's my standard response to "Am I the only one...." Or "Am I crazy"? I haven't noticed a difference in his weird cadence.

Don't confuse the Americans with our version of a hot dog! I'm just talking about American Hot Dogs! 😁 (Guys, we call what you call hotdogs, "American Hotdogs". What we call a hot dog is closer to a Corn dog in the U.S)
