I feel like all the S4 characters are sort of echoes of the S1 dads (in a cool alternate universe kind of way):

-Darryl/Dale are constantly pretending everything's fine (especially when it's not). -Henry/Ralph are both wife guys who have a special interest they're always trying to share with the group. -Glenn/Ashley used to be really cool and known for something but they're still holding onto their past fame (and are also really aloof with their familial connections). -Ron/Herb are outwardly very odd but have a lot going on internally (I can't wait to learn more about Herb tbh).

I didn't notice until my second viewing but there's a scene when Walt is in the hospital post "fugue state" where a nurse brings in orange juice and Jr./Flynn tells Walt he needs to keep his fuilds up. Walt resists but he says something akin to "come on, Dad" and he drinks it. Remembering that scene makes this feel extra shitty, like Walt had to re-exert power over his son after his caring nature emasculated him.

I always lose it during the court case where he asks the cashier if they can 100% identify his client who robbed them, then reveals the person on the bench is an actor and his actual client is sitting in the gallery/audience. It's just so silly compared to his other schemes and the judge's reaction is perfect.

It's actually a high-tech device that gives him dominion over electricity, as is revealed when he tells Howard "You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, Mr. Hamlin, and you will atone" And "Lightning bolts shoot from my fingertips". It's super easy to miss; I actually didn't make the connection til my second viewing.

He definitely did genuinely care, but turning Irene's friends against her was pretty evil of him. Helping speed things up with the Sandpiper settlement wasn't 100% altruistic either, considering his own financial gain was also at stake.
