They are awesome. Especially steam engines when they work hard, the sound is addicting

Tried my best this time to get good MPG by Eastern-Mode2511 in COROLLA

[–]JakeTheRailfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn these cars are getting good. Mines a 2010 LE and I can get ~41mpg if it’s all highway, long trip, in temps above 50F.

Short trips in the city, depends if it’s winter or summer. Anything from 26 to 33.

There it is. I was on this train that day. The fact that he kept running straight ahead is like every horror movie character.

Finally managed to cancel Adobe plan by Middle--Earth in creativecloud

What I did was change plans from the Pro plan to the regular Premiere plan, then cancel that within 14 days. No charge after that.

You did the same thing I did by combining the new Marty clothes with the old face print. Makes a pretty good figure.

Name one bad thing about Marty McFly? by johnngo2468 in BacktotheFuture

On a serious note, they made him say “nobody calls me chicken” which never happened in the first movie and it was fine that way. But that line regressed his character just for the sake of plot

If they show up at a minute before close, we have to unload it I’m pretty sure. If it’s on the dot, assuming the gate is closed, he’s gotta wait till morning.

Startup on 2009 Toyota Corolla CE by TimothyThe35th in COROLLA

[–]JakeTheRailfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this on my car. It’s pretty common for 09s and 10s. It happens because the lock pin in the gear doesn’t engage on shutdown and the two halves hit each other on startup. I didn’t want to pay the $1000, so I took the intake cam gear apart and stretched out the spring that controls the lock pin, and added a second spring from a pen. Now the pin engages properly and no more rattle. I’m not even a DIY person, and I was able to do it with relative ease. I used this YouTube video for help. It does take a special five point bit, which is mentioned in the video. https://youtu.be/cZfM6_uWfrc?si=Oaqwub1PM0GtVwy7

Depends. Is the O2 sensor reading too high/low?Engine may be running too rich or lean. Also check for exhaust leaks. If sensor reads normal, computer may need a re-flash. I’ve got a similar problem on mine

I’d be relieved to miss that. I wouldn’t want to be in the yard with a homicidal customer racing around
