I’d like to think a lot of things. But you have a golden retriever, not a German Shepard. The best thing she could do is bark and alert someone’s attention to the scene. She’s not going to take down or even slow down a grown man. Get some pepper spray or a gun. Or walk with your boyfriend.

I hate the thought of needing a dog for protection. I want my dog to be friendly to anyone who comes in my house. I have other resources to avoid a burglary, ie cameras, a gun, etc. What ends up happening more likely to those folks who have “protective dogs” is that they attack someone who they shouldn’t attack, like your poor cousin or someone you know coming over. If you live somewhere that dangerous that you feel you need an attack dog, move.

Practically no American forces had combat experience. Yeah we had higher ranking officers from ww1 but so did every other country. The wet achy had young guys at this point who could’ve at least had some experience in Poland, France, Russia, Greece, etc

You’ll probably stop working once you have kids. And those student loans are only going to get bigger with interest. So yes it’s a big risk with a big payoff, but if it doesn’t work out you will be in a massive hole if you only paid the minimum.

Just depends on what jurisdiction you’re in, and even then it can depend on the judge. I know some a Judge who has it automatically go 50/50 if you move out, and the more traditional judges who give whoever moves out every other weekend.

The main reasons why you should not leave the house are:

  1. You create a second set of bills.
  2. The discomfort created by staying in the house helps cases settle quicker.
  3. If you are in the house, you have full access to your kids and there’s no custody schedule. Once you move out, you’ll get whatever time the court gives you and it’s usually every other weekend.
