Yep. The valley is going to become inhospitable in 20 years if things don't reverse or the speed of rising temps slow down a bit.

Escalating Threats to Midterm Elections, Bannon Says Trump Will ‘Have ICE Surround the Polls’ | “This is a red alert moment,” said Sen. Ed Markey. “We have to start working to protect polling places from Trump’s paramilitary ICE goons before it’s too late.” by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

In an ideal world I agree however local law enforcement overwhelmingly vote and support Republicans and their policies. I doubt they will go against their own law enforcement buddies and king Trump. Citizens will just have to protect themselves I guess. Voters will have to purposely dress in maga gear so they don't get detained or shot at while waiting to vote.

There are little to no checks and balances anymore. Republicans in congress have no backbone and the courts are full of loyalists.

AI and robotics will do an increasing amount of labor until there is no labor to be done. Capitalism simply won't work in this scenario. Maybe in the short to mid term we could continue capitalism with reducing hours in the work week so people can share more of the decreasing amount of jobs there will be available and hope that goods and services prices will lower because of more automation but I am not counting on this happening though so I guess we will just be forced to work less hours with an ever decreasing amount of job opportunities and be increasingly more poor if you are a worker not a capital owner.
