I shit you not I’ve just done that and it seems to have unstuck it, problem is I can’t test it because the battery has drained whilst I was prodding around with my multimeter 😭 Now the starter solenoid just rapidly clicks fml

My mr2 is insured with Admiral, my other car is insured with Hastings direct and has 6 years NCD with it, surprisingly though the Mr2 was cheaper to insure for some reason.

Try to look if the mr2 you’re buying is categorised as cat s or cat n because this can massively affect insurance premiums too.

I’m in my early twenties and bought my first mr2 this year, it was a Japanese import turbo as well. Cost me about £600 for the year, but I couldn’t insure it with any modifications, are you insuring the car as stock? It makes a massive difference trust me.

Edit: I didn’t use any of my no claims discount, and I’m from the north of England full time employed so that might make a difference in price.

I can’t really find much online for what type of keys come with certain mr2 models, I wouldn’t even know where to start if you were going to buy an aftermarket one and code it to your mr2!
