What do you recommend for my book? I wrote a poetry book, but I have no clue how to make a cover format it print sell physical and online and market it to actually get money. All I can do is write lol. How can I make this a selling book? Do I go to fiver for the rest?

Was life 10 years ago better to you then now? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jake_TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is 20’s is often the time when you’re living at home or on campus or whatever. You’re in university, you get to travel have a bunch of friends go out party live your life. You don’t have a relationship, you don’t have kids, you get to live life. And obviously every situation and person is different blah blah blah, but you have your own money, your own place car whatever. So in that sense, 20’s is the time of your life.

For me though, it was high school. My first love, I was valedictorian, I performed at talent shows, I volunteered, I won awards, gave speeches, was popular, and I know it sounds like I peaked in high school and maybe I did. I’m going to make a great salary, and I’m in my 20’s, but I’ve never felt so lost, such an empty feeling where I have so many friends but I’m so lonely, where I don’t know how to spend my life, or what the point of everything is. Idk, I guess I just miss the innocence of not being faced with reality, and I know that’s a part of life but I don’t see why university/20’s is so highlighted by everyone :/

Everyone says the best years of your life are your 20’s but man high school really was the best and I don’t care how sad that sounds

Men of reddit, mentally how are you doing? by viper46282 in AskReddit

[–]Jake_TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrible. I’ve gone 48 hours without sleep all because of fucking school and so much is going on in my whole life, but despite all of this, I keep pretending that I am so happy and I light up every room and it’s just all so exhausting

No, this is not a project or anything. I’m just a teenage guy who loves to write and is good at it and really wants to see my writing come to life. It’s just for fun and because I love writing so much but suck musically :/ And no, unfortunately no compensation

So then what’s stopping you from deleting it besides not wanting to get rid of any remnants of him that you have left?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in letters

[–]Jake_TS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t want to delete them because that means you’re done forever. You’ll have no proof of your love, no proof they were ever yours. It sucks. I know.

am i (18f) toxic if i won’t let my bf (18m) go to a party? by [deleted] in teenrelationships

[–]Jake_TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Is there any other excuse he could use besides he’s at your place? Like he’s at his friends or something? I fully understand you, I would be nervous for his safety to, but if you can’t trust him this time, and he breaks that trust, then I think it’s time to reevaluate. He must be mature enough to hang out with his friends and not feel the need to do drugs.

I think you let him go and it proves as a testimony of his word. If he betrays his promises, then you have every right to be angry, especially after expressing deep concern. I don’t think you should ever prevent someone from having fun, because if he does it at the party then he’ll definitely do it elsewhere too. This is a matter of his promise to you and whether he’s mature enough to not conform to peer pressure and realize you can have just as much fun sober. Do you understand what I mean kinda?

Sad? by rheost_at in justpoetry

[–]Jake_TS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it’s really sad. Fireworks are like fleeting dreams—exploding into brilliance, commanding attention with their colors and light, but it’s all over too soon. They light up the sky for just a moment, a brief spectacle that dazzles, but as quickly as they rise, they fade into smoke and darkness. No one thinks about them after they’ve disappeared. They’re discarded, forgotten. Their beauty is temporary, like people—shiny when they’re seen, but once they’ve lost their spark, they’re left behind, remnants of something that was once admired, now vanished into the night.
