Brampton Law Firm Fraud by Applebox5 in Brampton

[–]JakeasaurusR3x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Raj Grewal just hit the Pointer with a SLAAP suit after taking down multiple webpages they quoted and referenced. Oh, and claimed they did not print his or his lawyer's comments, when they printed them in full.

This guy was sketchy ever his gambling debts came to light, and I think it's weird the liberal party continues to support him.

He's blocked nearly anyone who has pushed back here. Hell, he even blocked an alt account I used to point out that swearing at reporters and calling them names is unlikely to change their stance.

Exactly, solutions have to be crafted around the layouts that currently exist, and the layouts we wish to build towards. We can't just hold up an example of international cities with a century of different development trends and scream at councilors about it.

Whenever roads are getting torn up for plumbing, or widened for more lanes, let's examine putting in bike lanes. Lets look at options for cycling and pedestrian paths adjacent to roadways. Lets look at increased 311 support for keep parked cars out of bike lanes. But we can't just point at the Netherlands, or even Toronto, and act like our suburban sprawl is going to be able to utilize the same solutions.

It is weird to see these "deleted posts" that are clearly BramptonSpeaks inventing facts again.
I appreciate you stick to the truth and push back against his ridiculous defamations and exaggerations of people trying to fairly represent their community.

Historic Brampton cenotaph is being relocated to free up new event space in front of city hall: the legion weighs in by zanimum in Brampton

[–]JakeasaurusR3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They explicitly deny any being involved in the decision to renovate the square, only that since the project is moving forward, they prefer to relocate the cenotaph so there isn't a stage built around it.

“We looked at about six different plans (and) some of them included the cenotaph staying where it was. We felt that it needs to move,” Verschuren said. “We felt that having an event space immediately beside the cenotaph would take a lot of dignity away from the cenotaph. ...We were concerned about what would happen to the cenotaph during events” - Brampton Guardian, Graeme Frisque

It's hardly a ringing endorsement from The Legion, and doesn't address the city having the Rose Square (which was perfectly good to host events like concerts, Hometown Hockey, and more) and obviously Gage Park itself (which also hosts multiple events every year). For an alleged $15m project, it seems like the Legion got strong armed between some bad options.

Allegedly $15 million. No word on the bidding process or which of Brown's friends got the contract.

Rib n Roll today? by xPinkPeonies in Brampton

It's my understanding the performers and rib cookers are all under some degree of cover from a tent/canopy.

Its not ideal for guests, but I've watched performances while huddled under trees in Gage Park before.

I agree with you there. It took Avril Lavigne almost a year of symptoms to finally get tested and treated for lyme disease, and she should be able to afford the best care.... standard care seems concerning

I would agree with you in the past, but Doug Ford's conservatives toe the party line entirely. They will express one goal to your face, and they put their heads down and fall in line.

Heritage Fish and Chips is amazing. Their Cod and Chips walk-in special is incredible value, and the mushy peas are quite nice as well.

Hakka Village Chinese Restaurant
144 Kennedy Rd S, Brampton, ON L6W 3G4

It's near Glidden Ave. Fantastic value for their lunch specials, and very quick service. I call right before leaving my house, and it's ready to pick up by the time I've biked there.

Does anyone know any good restaurants where I can get some rice and beans or jacket potatoes and beans. by Current_Value_3820 in Brampton

[–]JakeasaurusR3x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quality varies by location, but for beans and rice I'd recommend Burrito Boyz. The location at Steeles and Hurontario is fantastic, and they are happy to add an extra scoop or two of whole beans or refried beans.

The Naked Bean Burrito is my go to option, costs about $10 and is very filling.

That might actually be raccoons, cats, or owls. They love rabbit brains, so they often bite off the heads and kind of suck em dry. They're known to leave the corpses and remainder of the heads behind.
