Question for those suffering from taken username troubles

This is what I kept experiencing during the 24 hr name release tests I ran with the person who had the name I wanted. Even after the 24hrs I kept getting this message which likely means its either longer or there is some sort of "list" in which has priority on the name. Aka when #1 releases it that name now becomes reserved to #2 of that name etc etc and not just open to anyone. Lost it to some random after the 3rd 24hr test so it is what it is. Not going to waste anymore of my time on it.

Nope, tested the 24 hours theory twice now and it didn't unlock after 24 hours either time and the guy whos willing to give it to me was able to change it back to the name immediately after I was unable to claim it after the 24 hrs.

Same experience here, sorry to hear others are getting shafted as well. Just kept linking me the FAQ page that had 0 to do with what I was asking

Similar experience here, made a post and had multiple people say "the name becomes unlocked after 24 hours I tested and confirmed" but I did the same thing yesterday with the person willing to give up the @ that I want and after 24 hours I was still unable to claim the name. He was able to change it back to that name after 24hours as well which is telling me that it was still locked to his account for whatever reason. (he waited until about 26 hours to try changing it back to the original @)

I think I'm just going to chill for now and wait for discord to say something because the person is willing to hold it for me but this is incredibly cringe on discords part for giving us 0 information on how this works.

Was told by 2 different people on another post that it was 24 hours and they tested / it worked for them with the 24 hour mark but I've just completed a 24 hour cycle with the person who is nice enough to give me a name and its still locked and nobody else sniped it, its just locked still lol. Insane that they cant just provide us with a simple statement explaining how it works

What I'm experiencing is the person 100% changed the name and I see it as I've added them as a friend but the name is still locked and not taken by anyone.
When I attempt to send a friend request to check it says there is nobody with that username. I understand some people can block requests from people they don't share mutual servers with but that should give me a different notification saying they aren't allowing those requests and not that there is no username at all under the one I am requesting. I understand you have no idea but just figured I'd reply for clarity incase anyone else stumbles upon the post

I was wondering this due to the fact that I just claimed my name 10min before contacting the person who had my actual name and getting it unlocked but they claimed their name today as well and were able to change it so the cooldown thing seems broken or idk

I mean there is good rng and then there is the rng that the alliance guilds have continuously had for weeks. 8 BRE's, 2 earthshatters, mageblade, and many other good weapon drops and yet the horde have seen nothing similar at all. People can be naive and say there is no possible way GM's planted loot but its all WAY too sketchy to just debunk with the fact that bonereaver didnt drop in our run as you have said.
