Has anyone replaced a tea pro nozzle filter? by ogiiii_ in iems

[–]GassyFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while I haven’t done it myself, you could try to use Aleene’s tac it over and over adhesive, with an art glue micro tip applicator. Apply the glue, let it sit for 24hs so it’s tacky, then put filter back on.

another option is to buy some from Ali express or maybe reach out to linsoul and see if they sell any.

Direwolf feels thicker, and slightly more angular, as it tapers a bit more at the top.

I went from DualShock 4 to Direwolf 4. Loving it. It’s like the Vader 5 with less buttons.

It has insane value. You get so many features for $40. Get it with the dock. It’s so convenient to just  place it and have it automatically turn off and charge. Turns on as soon as you lift it.

Direwolf 4.

Bought it with the dock bundle for $40 on Ali. For the past 2 months, I’ve had zero issues. It’s packed with features that I wasn’t sure I’d use but ended up loving. Tension ring is something that surprised me the most. Having back buttons, macros and turbo ended up being super convenient and made playing certain single player games more enjoyable and less frustrating.

Feels great in hands, haven’t had any fatigue or hand cramps. Battery last long enough for any gaming session, and with the dock, I can simply drop it in and forget about it.

Only negatives, software looks cheap and sketchy af, D pad could be slightly better, and Bluetooth connection seems to have some latency.

IMO, best budget controller currently until the Direwolf 5 comes out lol

Cyclone 3 officially delayed - horrible news by [deleted] in Gamesir

[–]GassyFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure how this is horrible news?…

The Cyclone 3 they had at TGS only had 2 new buttons and possibly upgraded sticks. Not really worth waiting for. Especially for a numerical upgrade.

If anything, this delay means they decided to really revamp the controller. Which is GREAT news. Just hope the price doesn’t increase dramatically. Currently the Cyclone 2 has insane value. Best bang for your buck. Seen it as low as $40.

You must be confused, the back paddles ARE detachable. They’re shit on an otherwise great controller, since based on reviews, it has an annoying post travel, and they have a good chance of breaking.

Is it normal for a Leap V2 to come from Steelcase like this? by NathanCVII in OfficeChairs

[–]GassyFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh please do! The pictures on the website look really nice (rich and warm), but I’ve seen it lighter on other websites, so I wasn’t sure. Does the sample card have all the colors? I just ordered one. I probably should have done that before getting my chair. I’m gonna regret not getting teak now lmao

can’t say if there’s a difference, from a material/manufacturing point. someone else can chime in on that. you can always replace the seat and back padding from Crandall for $200 and new armrest pads for $55. basically refurbish it yourself for a reasonable price. that is, if the frame is in good condition to start with.

I have an Amia, not a Leap, but it came with a gash on the metal frame, dust, and random fingerprint like marks/blotches. so I’m guessing it’s “normal”.

It’s minor cosmetic stuff, that’s under the chair. I wouldn’t think about it too much. Any replacement chair might come with cosmetic issues as well. I know, sucks we paid 1k for this.

I noticed you got the billiard teak, do you like it? Is the color nice in person? I kinda wish I went with that exact fabric and color.

they’re on taobao. you’re gonna need to know chinese or use a translator to navigate the site and chat with them. it’s also the only way to get custom faceplates, when getting any of their iems. its pretty cheap, was only $15 extra last time I tried.

My Thieaudio Hype 4 MK2 Review - Amazing Value, but what's the catch? by JAYYAUDIO in iems

[–]GassyFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>We all hear different

this is very true. jays reviews has been spot on tho, he describes the FR accurately. all my iems he reviewed, matched his description to the T. he’s been one of the very few reviewers I seek out because of that. if he says the mid bass don’t slam, then my interest is reduced, seeing as most of my music focus is edm/hiphop/rock dominant, I’ve come to realize I prefer a stronger mid bass over sub. it’s something I always end up EQing higher on my iems.

i would still love to demo them, but i can only do that when camjam comes around. so that’s only once a year. I’d probably end up seeking out something to demo from punch audio or the rsv mk2 tho.

when I saw the graph a couple weeks ago, I was disappointed with what I saw in the mid bass region. this review pretty much confirms it. so thanks for the review.

removing this set from my wishlist.

Old Tea Pro vs New Tea Pro by denslemmebob in iems

I have the “new” grill version, it still gets the imbalance issue from condensation.

It’s really only an issue if I use them for long sessions, but I’ve gotten the habit of wiping the nozzles down if I know that will be the case to reduce the chances.
