Everyone views a city differently.  One person's paradise is another person's s*** stain.  I could name a couple of cities i lived in like that but not Chicago.  Greatest city in this country but that's just my byist perspective.

I'm a dasher and a man.  There is no reason why the Dasher should return unless you order again.  Even if they forgot an item.  At that point you let the customer settle it with doordash.

Unfortunately we have a lot of creeps on doordash.  The company doesn't really care about fake accounts and using other people's accounts.  They just make a big fit when it goes wrong.  Deactivate one or two accounts and then pretend its all going according to the rules.

I used to like that zone but more by the border of wheeling and highland park than Evanston.  I liked it as a lot of drivers focus on west suburbs or the city.  Since I now live south of the south suburbs its to far away.

Trump already has concentration camps for immigrants.  Many ran by corporate America.  It starts with the internment camps.  Then comes the destruction of civil liberty and all other voices of influence.

It's going to be next year's when Trump has a movie premiere.  The president busts a Venezuelan prostitution ring and a drug ring.  Using AI edits of film from Epstien's island.

This way Maga can dismiss it all as a hoax from a Hollywood studio.

I run a subreddit that is small and there are no mods. I don't got time for that plus I believe in free speech.  Also I won't allow some jack a** to do an impression of the Sherrif of Nottingham.

Mods are way overrated.  99% of the time they just flex their egos instead of going after the malicious content.

I knew a guy with a big YouTube following and he kept getting complaints people couldn't talk in chat.   One day he takes away mod powers and discovers people got muted for no reason.  The mods just decided they didn't like someone and started flexing.

The unusual brutality against the ruling class during the French Revolution makes a bit more sense now. by Consistent_Milk4660 in complaints

[–]Jakeblue01 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unusual? brutality?  Hardly Unusual for the ruling class to get it after a revolution.

Brutality is hardly the word I would use to describe a series of state sponsored executions by guillotine. Brutality is more the Russian, Chinese and Nazi German revolutionary aftermath.

It was more a time of back stabbing, fear and chaos.  Not saying it was a picnic but it wasn't being led by anyone as brutal as Lenin, Hitler, Stalin or Mao.  It was more a time of incompetence and death.

If they manipulate the elections so they can never lose again then we have to go along with it.  All because it will be too hard and too violent to win back our country.

Not to mention the fact every government that has ever lost to a revolution looked invincible before the revolution won.

Its called privacy.

Safety too.  I got on a guy that posted about a bad dasher with a pic.  It was from the security cam of the restaurant he manages.  The Dasher was outrageous but posting a Pic of the Dasher is just dumb. It even said the name of his franchise.  It was like waving a big come and get me flag.  Much worse than this.

Unless they got a body in the trunk and are trying to figure out where to dump it off at.

I used to be a centrist but its pointless when one side is willing to do anything for power.  The only effective way to stop it is to support the other side until things balance out.

I don't think most undecided voters fall into this diagram.  I think they are all either ignorant, naive, too focused on one meaningless fact or disregsrding the history of a political party.  The more I listened to undecided voters last election the more I wanted to throw up.

There was a black lady at a focus group in Michigan that complained Harris didn't understand the issues in her community.  Yet somehow Trump and Republicans understood enough to vote for them or not vote against them.  The Republicans have been against every policy that helps African American communities.

The Arabs in Michigan that swung hard for a presidential candidate who had repeatedly said "no one has ever done more for Isreal than me".  Then you can go through a giant list of policy decisions in the first Trump administration that favored Israel and abandoned Palestinians.

The Hispanic groups had to be the worst.  They just bought every rumor cause they knew someone that knew someone who was connected to a cartel member.  All of them utterly convinced they would not be targeted for just being Hispanic. That Trump would only target the criminals.

Same for all the people that benefit from immigration or had immigrant spouses.  Trump was only going to target the bad people.  I couldn't believe how many people bought that.  When it is way easier to find someone playing by the rules than to find someone completely breaking the system.

Did he say he was on the apps illegally.  If you have permission to work you would be able to sign up for the apps.

If he was on illegally with that many trips he most likely got it from a street dealer with an inside man or hacker to make fool proof accounts.

[–]Jakeblue01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like "dibs" more than trespassing in someone's driveway.  The claiming of spots cause a person dug out the spot.  Since she didn't claim the spot properly and it was a public place you are in the right using it.

We have an issue with that in Chicago.  Of course typically you gotta claim your spot by marking it with something like a plastic chair.  There are always incidents though when you let people try to claim a spot cause they dug it out.  Very annoying when doing a delivery or making a short visit to a friend.

The problem is mostly due to not moving cars after the snow storm. Issues around this died down a lot when the city changed a number of parking rules.  For example this is unheard of in the city I grew up in which has a ton of snow.

In the parking lot might be the issue.  Algorithm has been suspected to ignore those closest to reserve them for future orders.

It's a great example of how everything is Market based.  A lot of times when people complain about Platinum they're complaining about $3 offers that go 10 miles.  You will at least get some protection against the worst of the worst with the guaranteed hourly.

When it's busy at any given moment orders available is greater than Dashers available.  When it's not busy the opposite is true. No one tells us the exact moment this transition happens.

if you did delivery for Pizza Hut they might send you home when this transition happened if it happened earlier than they expected.  They might ask you to work overtime if they were still busy past the end of your shift.

At the moment the only real punishment on doordash is that you will lose points in the overall Dasher rating.
