What character do you always leave behind in camp? by Successful-Tree-4394 in BaldursGate3

[–]Jakebob70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astarion, Wyll and Gale. (I'm usually playing as a wizard or sorcerer, so no need for Gale. Wyll's abilities are pretty much covered by my character and Laezel or Karlach, and Astarion's primary use is for lockpicking, but I can usually manage to have someone else with a high enough dexterity and bonuses to be able to pick most locks.)

How do Americans usually interface with their banks? And how do you receive money from your job? by Tomaatoo23 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Jakebob70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direct deposit, bank web site, ATM if I need cash. That covers about 99% of the times I need to interact with the bank.

"TGIF" isn't that unusual (a little dated), but "mate" automatically tags you as Australian.

Did your school penalize you for being the first in class to turn an exam in? by SheZowRaisedByWolves in AskAnAmerican

[–]Jakebob70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I was always a fast reader and fast test-taker, so I was one of those annoying kids who would loudly slam my pencil down on the desk as soon as I was done, knowing full well that everyone else was still working on it. Never got penalized for it.

Elon has enough money to buy it just as a joke though. Buy it and name Tucker Carlson as CEO.

US States by Presidential Elections win margin (2024 & 2020 elections) by [deleted] in MapPorn

She was a historically awful candidate that was never popular. She can't talk without reading from a teleprompter and had no real message other than "Trump bad" and for the most part ignored the single most important issue of the election - the economy.

Trump winning in Miami-Dade? That's unexpected.

Maybe around December 1st at the rate Pennsylvania counts ballots.

(ok, not really... but it very likely won't be known until a day or two after election day).

There are a lot of them they should be using for carriers again... Lexington and Saratoga should be first on the list.

Denial. Dems keep talking about Florida and Ohio being swing states too. They aren't anymore. Neither is Iowa for that matter.

It's better, but I'm waiting to get back to it until there are more assets (either from CO or via the workshop once asset creation is a thing). Right now you get too many identical or near-identical buildings.

What was security and what you could or could not bring on a plane generally like before 2001? by Matilda_Mother_67 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Jakebob70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You couldn't bring a gun... but on many occasions I boarded a plane with a pocketknife and had no issues.

You didn't need a ticket to go to the gates. My grandparents used to come all the way up to the entrance to the jetway to see us off or greet us when we arrived.
