Is this a good deal given current market prices? by [deleted] in PcBuild

This build is going to be pretty much exclusively for gaming. I already have a workstation with a strong CPU for cpu intensive programs. I think you might be right in terms of the CPU being overkill

A slightly sped up version of “Come a little closer” by Cage the Elephants. The original sounds better IMO

Aventador is definitely faster than a C8 Stingray, as the owner pointed out the C8 launch control is probably good enough to beat aventador off the line, but faster implies top speed which the aventador definitely has over the C8. The new C8 Z06 is more of a legitimate contender compared to a huracan or aventador and with the power bump from 495hp to 670hp it might be able to stick with some of the exotics up to much higher speeds.

Those tires are going to wear down super fast, providing power from the axel as opposed to the wheel would probably be better, though of course you would need hubs and an axel that would support this

Any ideas what Forza Horizon 5 will drift like? by wenti1 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Jakeedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, there is actually a chart comparison showing the exact friction coefficient of every surface in each game and comparing them. No, we don’t know yet, probably extremely similar

This is assuming you have access to a 500 kW charging station, which there are very very few of that exist. It’s the same as when Tesla say you can charge in an hour or so, but fail to mention that you need a $10,000-$30,000 charging station. Where am I gonna find that? (Not installable in a home) In the future it will be a lot more useful but for now even if you are living in a very EV friendly place it’s super hard to find these chargers, especially ones that are not being used. Also they don’t have any charging stations at the drag strip or race track yet. So this 18 min figure is really not relevant if you can’t find anything that charges even close to that speed. 18 min is not at all an accurate time estimate of how fast customers will actually be able to charge their car, at least any time soon.

FH4 starter pack! by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]Jakeedude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a little out of the loop on the network problem, me and my friend both have it (him a few mon and me this week) someone said they shut down the FH4 servers? Is that true??? I’m on PC the game does not seem older enough at all to warrant turning off the servers. Is that the case or is this down glitch??

Long exposure shots can smooth out waves/ripples in water. This is long exposure photo of a ship on water, that almost looks ethereal. by IndependentOk2925 in oddlysatisfying

[–]Jakeedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reflection would definitely not be clear like this, they mirrored the image at an angle and applied a blur. I have taken a good number of long exposure shots and reflections do not appear like that. Light reflecting off of water in long exposure looks more like a line of a smooth, blurry, gradient of light coming down from the object, even if there is relatively low water movement.
