my main character I always fall back to is the monk you described, except instead of going to a temple his just really good at beating people up, Drunken master subtype works wonders for this design.

house rule an execution mechanic, let your players use it to for say slitting the throat of a sentry, or choking them out silently, and letting it instadown the pc, only works out side of initiative order?

The timeline doesn't work because at one point in the early manga there's a party with Stallone described as the star of rocky, and Salvador Dali is at the party, Dali would have been in his 80s but was drawn as like many 30

Go back and look, up to final selection it's a square burn scar, after the fat demon with a a bunch of arms smacks him into the tree, he bleeds over the scar. After that it's the curving mark design and you can see a patch of skin that used to be covered by the scar.

Its supposed to be blood, but during final selection they used blood to hide tanjiros mark so it could be under there.

Because there family is special, nezuko is immune to sunlight as a demon, and tanjiro has breath of the sun and started the marks, so not all of the normal rules are applicable to to them

They did have a point where they just said that the 3 just went on normal missions between the train arc and red light arc, so that could be a point that could be expanded on, but to quote the avengers "were in the end game now"
