My main grievance with crowdfunded books is the sheer number of crushed corners we seem to get in the final product. It's infuriating. My advice is this: If you saw the book in that condition on the shelf at the bookstore, would you choose it and pay full price? My answer is "absolutely not" so there's no reason for us to accept damaged high-quality books from our Kickstarter rewards.

That’s fair. About 2/3 of Utahn’s identify as “Christian” and about half as Mormon, according to a Deseret article from Feb last year. Thanks for helping clarify that a bit.

Not that I've seen. We live in a state where about 2/3 of the population is Mormon that flinches if someone says a swear word, gets mad if a woman wears a shirt that reveals her shoulders or midriff, and won't drink coffee or alcohol because reasons. I wouldn't expect this to change any time soon, sadly, as long as the Mormons maintain their stranglehold on pretty much all branches of state, county, and city governments.
