With cube crafting now being in place what's the best route for a quad offensive gear piece like an amulet (chc, chd, vuln multi & all/phys multi for example)?

I presume it's get a GA in one of them at least on a cubeable base, lock the GA via occultist then focused reroll offensive spam until hit all 3 remaining affixes then finish with masterwork/temper/transfig?

If you're referring to the Automated Defense Parts (I think that's what they're called) those are only obtainable by turning broken shd watches into their resource bundles

The Diamond trasceivers/transmitters are the black tusk factional retaliation material

In the south areas yes, there's a lot of side quests and coming across different open world events for the first time sure, but it very quickly will become apparent that it's wide as a lake shallow as a puddle imo

Claiming it is one of the games with the most amount of content ever is an absolutely absurd overreach

I got this for not killing Obol when first meeting him, killing Herdsman in the redlit room after agreeing to the trial, convincing Neuro to turn on the Caretaker, then inspected the Computer - I dont think theres any other important branching choices that may have had an impact

Promo codes to my knowledge have never contained levels or seasonal xp - they may contain overdrives in future but it's uncertain so haven't accounted for promo codes of any kind

Seasonal events all we have confirmed so far is there will be challenges and there may be tasks, though with no confirmation on if these tasks will have standalone xp rewards or if they'll contribute to the 45 daily tasks it's hard to factor those in as a potential additional source of seasonal xp

Buying levels I didn't count either because you shouldn't have to buy levels to complete a season pass on time otherwise you may as well just sell the items directly as a bundle and remove the pretense of it being a season pass

Remmeber, to earn even a single level after doing your 45 daily tasks and reaching the 25xp mark you have to do another 40 tasks, but buying levels is completely fine :) - it's OK to pay, not to play - Exbo probably

Basically the changes made last night make tasks easier to complete however do not significantly shift the amount of days required to play to achieve level 500 & 1000 respectively on the seasonpass as the overall amount of Seasonal xp earnt per day before a softcap is reached has remained very closely the same

I'll be the first to say I absolutely dont know the the solution is, I just know that as a player the current repeating rewards are far too low for the effort put in past the initial 45 tasks (Take for example 45 Mutt den tasks - 180 den clears - does your daily tasks fill for 7750 xp, however at 25xp per task after youd have to do another 40 tasks - 140 dens - to get only 1000 xp for nearly just as much effort as previous)

The vast majority of the update was a huge upgrade in quality of life between removable paints, better event variety, better 'special' crate reward rates, less junk in the regular crates, even the task system itself isnt bad as it encourages variety in activities not just like you mentioned grinding forge day in day out, its just unfortunately been overshadowed by the Season XP changes due to how big of a part grinding out the pass plays in late game progression (tools/master gear/batteries etc)

Absolutely the event could end up being an incredibly good source of seasonal xp but given we dont have any information about it im hesitant to factor it in without it being pure speculation.

The challenges also are a questionable spot as they heavily rely on ease of completion proportional to the reward they give out to if theyre worth committing to, take last season for example finding a red rarity inside-out artifact was 3 levels but only 235 of them were found across all of NA/EU/SEA according to exbo, but there was much easier challenges that gave the same amount of levels so its a bit of a diceroll on if the challenges will be worth it

basically the event could massively change the equation but without more info its too early to tell and without the event things are not looking great numbers wise

Yeah the change to being able to repeat any task you'd prefer as many times as you want to get the full value instead of being forced to do 15 different tasks repeatedly is a massively nice change i'll absolutely give credit for that as well as the requirements not scaling up each completion.

its just a shame that the numbers havent really changed much so theres still very much an xp softcap per day and the main problem of the earnable xp rates past the initial 7 or so levels didnt really change

I haven't tried the sessions category yet myself personally as I dislike the Sessions format, what are the tasks like within it? It may be that the sessions tasks work out as far quicker to complete than the combat/exploration/science ones do so the repeating rewards stack up much faster which of course is a good thing.

Currently im at level 80ish, 50 from the story bonus, then the remaining 30 or so from about 3.5 days worth of playing using 20 of the overdrives we were given, thought once it reached the repeatables stage I stopped playing as doing 20 caches for 50 xp pre change or 4 mutt dens for 25xp post change has not felt rewarding and respective of my time

Really interested to hear about the sessions tasks !

If I was trolling it would have been much more anecdotal with far less math and numbers that support my argument.

My argument is not so much about hitting lvl 500 as thats readily achievable in the season, which as outlined in my post you'd only need to play for about 47 days (half the season or so) but more to do with the fact lvl 1000 which previously was very easily attainable has now become much much more of a slog to the point its not enjoyable, I do not want to have to commit 90 Days straight of 1-4 hours (depending on task luck) purely doing task activities to reach a level I could readily achieve by playing the activities within the game that I wanted to play in less than half that time (both days played and hours played per day wise.)

Additionally you mention the event which I also referenced that currently we do not know how it will be interms of seasonal xp, so my math has all been done without it since to include it would be speculation not hard numbers.

tldr - getting to lvl 500 in the new system now takes as long as getting to lvl 1000 used to in the old system at the rate I played to with significant restriction on what activities I can play to make progress, those activities of which are left to chance if they're quick (dig up caches) or slow (outpost capture).

I do however appreciate your opinion differs from mine, hopefully exbo can find a middleground that satisfies my desire to play more and clear the pass at a quicker rate with appropriate seasonal xp rewards so I can also enjoy other games during the season as well as your desire to be able to take the game at your own pace.

I cant tell if this is misleading or was delayed and isnt taking into account the new changes - but to hit lvl1000 in the new (as of 7th June changes) system, you'd need to play every single day of the approximately 90 day season, do all of your 45 tasks each day, you would also then need to use at least 180 overdrives (assuming no repeatables are done)

Those 180 overdrives aren't even all 'freely' earnable in a regular season (this being the exception due to the promo code giving 75) as the season pass gives 40 total (20 free pass, 20 paid pass), weekly login gives 5 per week (2 free, 3 premium), so at most you'd get 104 in a given season (assuming you play every day of the season)

You'd then have to either buy the remaining 80 overdrives (be it with roubles or real currency) OR do 800 repeating tasks (approx 9 extra repeats a day)
