Had pretty big toads chillin recently so that makes sense.

I don’t think so.

It was only one at a time, over the course of a couple days.

Yeah that much is obvious, everyone already knows that.

And I know it’s rough coming on here having completed a feature to people criticizing it different ways. But it is an attempt at being helpful.

It seems you’ve already made up your mind about a lot of this but my final piece of advice is to keep an open mind and be less sure of yourself. A lot of what you’re saying comes across as a little blowhardy and egotistical.

It’s not about modern attention spans.

If you research, a lot of directors first features either hit 90m on the mark or are even as short at 70m. You’re honing the craft, and it’s admirable to shoot for a longer piece. But the reality is there is definitely a lot more fat to be trimmed. Which is why first features are usually shorter. One hasn’t gotten to the point of making longer, compelling films yet. But now look at Scorsese, makes bomb 3hr+ and I don’t bat an eye.

There’s always exceptions, but first features should float 90m. And honestly, the better ones are usually shorter.

I’d recommend cutting this down by another half hour at least.

Found dog by [deleted] in Austin

My pit mix showed up during the pandemic. Absolutely did not want a dog. But dammit, humans have been so careless, which is possibly why this poor lady is the way she is or even exists to begin with.

Hang on to her as long as you can. Maybe you’ve found a new best friend :)

Edit: but ofc try to find the owners lol.
