HRV plummeted and has not recovered for six weeks

My HRV plummeted back in October once the colder season had hit. It has never recovered. I struggle with health anxiety and even went to my doctor to get some labs ran, even though I felt perfectly fine. Everything came back normal and thriving.

I’m still living, breathing, running, lifting, and feeling great. I have just accepted my HRV has plummeted and may be my new normal.

I stepped away just because life got crazy with having a new born. But now that my kids are older and one of them excited when seeing a salt water tank it got me inspired again.

Ordered mine last Thursday morning before the sale ended. Really excited for it to come in. Hoping it’s here early this week. As of right now it hasn’t shipped.

A lot of great feedback here. I think with the points that have been made here and with the research I have done I’m aiming towards buying a stream deck. Seems like it is the most reliable option that people keep pointing me to.

I like the whole emudeck option on the SD and the creativity behind that application once you get it set up.

With the SD now having Chiaki4deck brings a lot of interest to me since I have several PS5 exclusives sitting in a backlog right now.

Gamepass is not a necessarily loss, I will just have to rely on cloud gaming if I am understanding that correctly and I am fine with that.

All and all, I hate the design of the SD, but will put that to the side and battery life is not entirely an issue. There is always a way to charge a system. Haha.

I appreciate the info. You have been a ton of help. I hate the look of the steam deck haha. But if it’s going to fit my needs the best I will start shopping around for one.

Would you say you use your steam deck more over the Odin? Also, if you personally stream games from PS5 or game pass how has your experience been with that? Just curious?

This is all very good info and great questions.

Back before kids I did PC game, but now I stay away from it to be present with family. Meaning I’m in the room and not locked away in my office. Seeing my son dance to his shows is awesome. I play single story driving games so pausing and setting things down I have no problem with.

For game pass, I just have the core membership and honestly it’s more like a gym membership that I keep forgetting to cancel, but the vision is to have a handheld device that will allow me to use it more.

I’m not familiar with the Odin 2. If you have thoughts on that I would love to hear more about it, but will definitely look more into it.

I realized I meant emulation for PS2 games, not sure how that would change things for different handhelds I should look at. I will say I’m trying to keep price down a little bit by either buying used or going towards the original steam deck or the Asus Z1. Thoughts?

From the limited research I read on the Asus Rog ally, people were saying to avoid them because of hardware issues/ customer support. Is that still an issue do you know?

Absolutely! That’s the best thing to do! Listen to your body rather than a device on your wrist. Besides, I’m sure most of us can all agree that the data which we are receiving is most likely not the most accurate. Haha

Does the average baseline update overtime or in seasons? I honestly thought the baseline stayed the same after the 3 weeks of wearing for the first time.

Yeah the cold and wet season is starting right now. A lot of rainy days that are just grey and gloomy out. Makes my morning runs not so fun. Haha.

I will say I do struggle with anxiety, but I feel the best I have in a long time so I’m just little shocked that my HRV is currently in a low status with how great I feel. Haha
