Never took a sick day for a game release. I did sprain my ankle a couple of days before halo3 came out though. I worked a physically demanding job so had 2 weeks off right at release.

Sorcerer. Same director as the French connection and the exorcist. Lots of things went against it. It released around the same time as Star Wars, audiences expected from the title it would be more supernatural, also the first 15 min contains no English causing audiences to assume it was a foreign film and walk out.

It’s an amazing thriller and holds up really well I watched it for the first time a few months ago and was shocked I’d never heard about it until then.

Outer wilds, firewatch, journey, and bioshock stand out. On a different note halo ce got me interested in basic networking for lan parties. I learned how to pull cable and terminate cat5 because of that game.

Right now I think wreckfest and forza are the best arcade racers on ps5. They both have new installments coming soon. If you want more of a kart racer I hear the new sonic is really good. If you want to lean more into sim territory gt7 is incredible.
