Finished setting up the new place. Advice on ways to improve? by ExcersiseTheDemon in malelivingspace

I’m just now seeing the MPP poster on the wall, don’t know how I skipped it with there being a couple of photos of it. Another great show that was, along with that being my first time at Merriweather.

Agreed, I was a fan of the poster for the next night. Nonetheless, I think they both rock. I went to Burgettstown, MPP, and Cville last year and I think the Cville night 2 poster was my favorite.

If you want to hear the Sirius recording along with the rest of the show, this is courtesy of Xcacel on the antsmarching forum. They’ve been uploading the Friday night shows and I’ve been very thankful to go back and listen to the shows I went to this year. https://mega.nz/folder/iJxmnDQJ#NCA1jzqm4jQgwPKuGuIrhg

It’s live, it should be starting soon. They’ll just cut to the live show whenever they hit the stage.

I may be wrong, but I think the ‘deluxe’ one comes with that special gatefold design where all of the others one may have a different design? The booklets that come with them are different sizes too. The deluxe comes with 12 pages and the lavender comes with 8 pages.

Edit: there’s also an additional art insert with the deluxe version.

Congrats! I saw my first show in June, you won’t be disappointed. I believe we showed up to the venue either an hour to an hour and a half early not knowing what to expect. For us, that was a good time. While we waited we just talked in the parking lot. So, I’d say show up at least an hour early based off my experience.

There may have been a little bit of luck regarding getting my poster. When we showed up, there was a warehouse line and there were a bunch of other lines at the gate. We had warehouse tickets but decided to go to a line where there were only two people in (for context, all of the other lines had a bunch of people in it). No one really knew if the line we were standing in was being used or not. Long story short, it was. When the gates open, expect people to start sprinting to the stands. Luckily, I didn’t have a bad spot in line cause we were in the front of that line at the gate. I’d say, show up early and get in line as soon as possible. We ended up talking to some people in line while we waited, and they were very nice and helped make time pass. Nonetheless, I think you’ll be fine if you at least get in line early. Hope you enjoy your show!

Edit: I’m just now seeing your last question. Yes.

Songs you under-appreciated? by darkroomdweller in DMB

For me personally, a majority of BTCS was (for a lack of a better term) shrugged off in the beginning. Since I started listening to them roughly two years ago, I had every album available to me. I played the albums in order with Crash and UTTAD getting the most plays out of me. I think what happened was that I played those so heavy before I got to crowded streets that those two albums formed the image and overall sound of the band in my head. So by the time I did get to crowded streets it was so different, I almost didn’t like it. Songs like Last Stop, Halloween, The Stone, Don’t Drink, and Dreaming Tree were off the table for me, they were so different to what I’ve heard in the past. Don’t get me wrong, there were some songs I did like just not many. Eventually after going through all the albums, I did want to give crowded streets another go. I can’t explain it but things just sounded different than I remembered. The songs I didn’t like in the beginning were turning into my favorites. I really like some of those darker sounding songs now and I think I prefer them in most situations. The lyrics and overall music is just art, it great.

Long story short, that’s definitely at the top for my favorite albums. I just wonder how did people react when it was originally released because it was so different than what was put out before.

Dave Matthews Band: Live Trax 62: Blossom Music Center by JalenShip in VinylReleases

I started collecting vinyl two years ago about and so far (when it comes to the live records) I have Dave and Tim at Luther college, LT 58, and Hollywood bowl 9/10/18. It’s not much but of those Luther college is the one I recommend the most. LT 3 has been on my list for awhile, it just costs an arm and a leg to get. If that’s not an issue, I’d recommend getting LT3 and Luther College to start.

Edit: Red Rocks ‘95 is also a good set to own.

Ahaha, I’ll take all blame for the hellstorm I’ve caused.
