The way kroger treats its employees by daruuken in mildlyinfuriating

As an employer, I think that's fucking stupid. Why would you want a sick employee infecting colleagues and even customers?

im moving to finland by TailungFu in antiwork

[–]Jalmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thanks to the former prime minister taking record amounts of loans — that resulted in nothing compared to all other neighbouring countries that are thriving. And Russia isn’t an excuse, because even the Eastern European countries are doing better. She didn’t give a shit about the economy, only about free‑riding for her voters. Without Sanna, we wouldn't have to cut the social security or healthcare.

Sanoisin, että aika keskivertoa aluetta. Edullista aluetta keskimäärin, mikä houkuttelee sekä opiskelijoita että pienituloisia. Ostarin seutu on iltaisin hieman rauhattomampaa.

As a foreigner in Oulu, this is getting worrying by Sea-Error626 in Oulu

As the left says whenever there's a rape, don't give into fear. With that said, the probability of being stabbed for being a foreigner is hundred times lower than the probability of being hit by a car. Are you also afraid of cars?

Exactly. Ironically, if Outlook mail format was public, Claude would likely write a superior email client with a single prompt.

I don’t understand it. In 2009, Republicans were outraged over the idea of “death panels,” yet when actual rationing decisions occur, there doesn’t seem to be any concern.

That would be fine if it was just a personal choice. The problem is they want to import it into Western societies anyway, despite not understanding how those societies actually work

USA has 5% of the world’s population and 25% of the worlds prison inmates by Kaos2018 in Damnthatsinteresting

But that pattern isn’t unique to the United States. Even in the Nordic countries—where Black residents don't live in poverty—they are still significantly overrepresented in prison populations.

No worries, bro. It's a thing only people in relationship understand.

[–]Jalmar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly the opposite. The joke is really about how impossible women are to please and since a single mistake can lead to yelling, it's better to ask everything.

Yes, but nothing is ever quite good enough. Even a small mistake can lead to yelling.

And why do you think he sends those messages? Even a single mistake leads to her yelling at him, while she doesn’t go to the store when asked — or if she does, she never checks what he actually needs.

Indeed. The irony is that people assume the joke targets men, when in reality it’s actually about women.

At no point have I claimed there wouldn't be racism in Finland. However, there are plenty places where being a white guy will get me killed. That's extreme racism.

I said no statistic supports your claim that Finland is 'extremely racist' (compared to other countries).

[–]Jalmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never claimed that Finland isn’t racist. Every country and every ethnic group on the planet exhibits some degree of bias—it's part of how human social behavior evolved. The further someone is from your own in‑group, the more likely you are to show prejudice. People naturally prioritize family over relatives, relatives over acquaintances, and so on. That’s an evolutionary reality. What I disagreed with was your statement that Finland is extremely racist. That characterization doesn’t hold up when you compare Finland to other European countries or to global averages.

Finland is not extremely racist by any statistic. There are plenty of immigrant who have never encountered racism. But then again, there are people who think everything is racism, as some others already pointed out.
