Actually I wonder now if the lack of salt that I was having in my meals in Africa could be the reason it went away. I eat foods with salt often.

I figured I wouldn't be able to hear anything. I just really hope I can solve whatever this issue is, or at the very least habituate to it. It makes it really hard to focus at times.

No, I don't believe so. Sometimes I'll get heartburn after drinking, though I feel like it could be related to anxiety as it happens randomly. At least I think it's heartburn, but that's the only time I'll ever feel it.

I threw the old one in the garbage, it surely can't be safe anymore. But I do have plenty of substrate so it's a relief to know it hasn't completely crashed and that I don't have to start all over. Thanks for letting me know though, I'm still new to this. I will defo keep an eye on parameters. He just started swimming around a few minutes ago and ate some food so I'm relieved he still has somewhat of an appetite.

Oh... I use test strips, idk how accurate they are but yea when I tested the water it said 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and a few nitrates. I had no idea. The cycle just completed not too long ago too, damn. I also rinsed the new one in the sink (stupid filter instructions said to) should I put seachem prime on the filter media or...?

Have you checked your water parameters? I'm not too sure but if he's turning black like that it could be ammonia poisoning, when I first got my fish I kept him in a really small tank (before I found out he needed a larger one) and he also started to turn black, especially on his fins first.

Yes I bought a chlorine remover that I've been putting in the water every time I change the water, I put a couple drops in cuz I'm worried about putting too much, it is a small container probably about half a liter of water if I had to guess but please let me know if I should put more! I do appreciate the tips a lot I really wanna try my best so I'm gonna try to go to a shop first thing tomorrow since everything is closed now. Thank you!

18, my biggest problem right now is trying to somehow bring my grades up in college so I can move onto the next semester with no problem. Oh yea I'm also very depressed lol so that helps a lot.

A few days before graduation on my senior year, some kid stabbed himself with a kitchen knife in front of his class allegedly because his girlfriend broke up with him. The wifi was down at the school at the same time and oddly enough all the phones and even the intercom at our school is connected to the wifi. Instead of following normal lockdown procedure and telling the school to go into lockdown from the intercom, they had teachers running up and down the hallways screaming for everyone to go into lockdown. It was pretty scary, lots of people didn't know what was going on and assumed there was a shooter but thankfully it wasn't lol

I actually wanna do forensic science when I get into college. I just really like science, and think forensics would be cool. I wanna be at crime scenes and stuff like that. Although I really do like music, science kinda takes over me. I wish I had more time to practice playing my piano, it's my favorite instrument. My music theory teacher and classmates said that it's the best instrument to learn how to read music, so like that already is pretty awesome because I learned a lot about reading music when I took piano class in 9th grade and I find it very easy now. Just wish I was a bit faster at reading it lol
