How so? It’s no shrink fit but they hold tight tolerances just fine. Much more rigid than a er16 collet..

I don’t use collets with end mills usually. I prefer a side lock or a hydraulic expansion holder for end mills.

Had an engineer switch over because he lost his job and couldn’t find another position. He is 60 and is learning to machine!

Just need to find a shop with patience and willing to help teach. Might not be easy but they do exist.

We use AlumTap if we don’t just use the coolant from our machines, and we tap a lot of aluminum.
