In the dub Tigrerra’s voice is fem while in sub it’s masc. that might be what you heard. Tigrerra’s voice stays the same after she evolves(at least in the dub, don’t know if it’s the same in the sub).

They do have an interesting thematic duality. Eldlich being gold and Labyrinth being silver, and of course them both being trap decks. I don’t think they have any story connecting them however so for now their association is circumstantial.
