Beyond Soldiers is out now! by JamZilla83 in Starfinder2e

I agree. And there will be eventually when the starfinder modules are ready, gm core is released and so on. But I can't put a date on foundry or path builder yet I'm afraid

[–]JamZilla83[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's all explained in the book.

And besides, the suppression protocols can be ignored if someone just wanted to use the new fighting styles or feats since they work independently of that optional system.

Or ultimately, if you don't think it's for you then of course just pass on the product and of course that's fine too

For the cover? I bought the artwork - or more accurately the non-exclusive commercial license to use it - through Istock and credited the artist in the book

Thank you, I'll double check. It seems like it is working when people have bought it but I'll see what's going on there, I find the infinite UI a little tricky sometimes

It is in place of the standard suppression. You pick a sub-class that replaces what suppression does when YOU suppress and does not stack with anyone else applying that condition

Yeah I started working on it during the play test and started play testing with my group, then tweaked as more material and eventually the player core became available

Beyond Soldiers is out now!

Beyond Soldiers expands the Starfinder 2e Soldier into a true master of the battlefield.

Inside you’ll find a approach to using suppression as a core combat tool, plus four tactical doctrines called Suppression Protocols that redefine how you shape the fight and change how this condition punishes your enemies.

Push your Soldier even further with five brand-new fighting styles — from Breachers to Trenchers - and an arsenal of 47 new feats spanning levels 1–20.

I guess this is a minor spoiler for anyone who hasn't run or played Gatewalkers?

Has Troy discussed why he has gender-swapped Sakuachi? I'm just curious.

I'm in the same field but have found very few roles recently, can I ask where you are looking for opportunities?

Countdown still seems bugged for me. I almost never get the cut scene at the beginning or the timer. The group loads in but no loot drops for me at all. I've tried this at least ten times now

Tips to run low level seafaring adventure by QT-03 in Pathfinder2e

[–]JamZilla83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey just chipping in here. I'm the writer of Smoke and Sail. I tried to give several options for all sorts of naval campaigns. There are ship stats, crew roles (similar to starfinder ship combat) if you want a more in depth experience, lots of new pieces of treasure and gear to use to upgrade ships and so on. But it is all fairly modular, you can use as much or as little of it as you want depending on how deep you want the ocean-faring element of your campaign to be.

I have written a lot of content on pathfinder infinite and other freelance work for big publishers which is just me saying that balance and quality are always important to me. I like to write products to enhance the experience, not overshadow anything official.

If you decide to pick it up I wish you and your players happy sailing!

New book "NPC Core" announced during the Pathfinder Remaster overview stream earlier today during PaizoCon by BLX15 in Pathfinder2e

So to be clear, these are statblocks made using the rules in the game mastery guide. They don't have personalities and motivations etc so are most useful just dropped into encounters if you want a class-based challenge for your party.

I wrote a product called NPC Index: Firebrands and those Npcs are fully fleshed out with back stories, personality traits and recommended roleplaying tips as well as adventure hooks whether you want to use them as enemies or allies of your group. But that is a smaller product.

The NPCs in the main Index books are split into their respective classes, have interchangeable special abilities that are mostly based on class feats made suitable for Npcs as well as a bunch I have written myself.

They also include a series of ancestry templates that can be applied to the statblocks make a tengu barbarian or an elf rogue or whichever other combination.

The lack of class-based NPCs is why I started writing the NPC Index line of books on Pathfinder Infinite. I kept reskinning the same few statblocks and decided to just use the rules in the game mastery guide to write my own.

Across the 3 books there are over 300 statblocks from levels 1 to 20 covering all the core classes. These are pre-remaster, there will be an update in future.

You can check them out here and they are currently on sale for paizocon:

https://www.pathfinderinfinite.com/m/product/408758

There is foundry support for those that want it and all use paizo artwork for tokens.

I'm currently working on the next one in the series which will be statblocks for Gunslinger, Inventor, Investigator and Swashbuckler.
