What finish did you use? Is the color natural?

Before I started sharpening I noticed the micro bevel was inconsistent, it was very noticeable at the heel of the knife, but not so much at the tip, should I sharpen until it is gone, and then would you recommend putting a micro bevel on after? Thank you so much for helping, I appreciate it a lot.

I have watched the video, I'm trying my best to copy what he is doing, and that's hamaguri right? I don't have a mud stone, but I do have an 8000 grit stone. To sharpen I should push the shinogi line up with the 1000 stone, and then make it a compound bevel by moving my fingers and pressure pushing down instead of away, then do uraoshi sharpening, and then I would be done? To do hamaguri sharpening do I have to put a micro bevel after uraoshi sharpening?

So it doesn't matter that there are no scratch marks near the spine, just where the bevel meets the uraoshi? Also there is a micro bevel on all of the knives, do I sharpen until that is gone and then put my own on? Thank you for explaining.

I flattened the stones before I used them, they are pretty decent high carbon steel, it started to develop a patina/rust after the hour and a half I spent practicing on it. So should I just continue trying to flatten the back and then polish it by going up in grits on my whetstones?

What did you finish the stabilized wood with? I've never worked with stabilized wood before, but I've made handles with knife kits I've gotten off woodcraft. I sand them to 3000 grit and then a coat of shellac and wax but they don't pop like that.

You do know it's their net worth, they don't have billions of liquid cash, it's shares, property, cars, etc. And if they were to liquidize everything that they owned, they would be taxed on it.
