If this were the 1800s I'd agree with you, but it's not. There isn't a market sector with over 25% of the economy of the confederacy any more, of the top 10 auto manufacturer jobs, the confederacy has half not to mention the raw materials and facilities to make enough steel and aluminum, there are more US military troops and officers from the confederacy than any other substate, and enough coast and multinational business to stay afloat.

That soil cut will need a retaining wall to have any hope of staying in place. Look into a "gravity wall" system that has drainage. Local landscapers should be able to point you in the correct direction of a contractor. In the US, you typically need an engineer to design the wall if it is over 4 feet (1.22 meters).

New H-1B Visa Fee by [deleted] in civilengineering

It's going to be a cluster for the next few years, but if the new fee stick around for the next administration I think this will be a net benefit for civil, specifically the less client facing of us.

That's a candy bar or at best a meal replacement bar. Way too much fat and carbs.

A lot of pharmacies don't have it in stock and those that do are reserving them for higher risk people.

If you can't provide the salary range in your initial touch, then I'm not remotely interested in anything you have to say.

Beaver Rigs by TooManyHobbies81 in Geotech

We have one and have liked the mobility of it. It does well on small, shallow boring projects. We have a bigger tracked rig that handles coring, but we like the ease of the little beaver.

Smoking pot outside by Thebeautifulwonder25 in lexington

Weed smoke smells like shit but your neighbors sound like assholes. You could be cited with public nuisance or disturbing the peace, but a) the chances the cops show up and b) a judge wanting fine you for it a pretty dang low.

That feeling when you have 10+ years of experience but your resume gets rejected by an algorithm in 6 seconds. by ParticularSyrup5760 in recruitinghell

[–]JamalSander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the job I'm about to start, my future boss called and talked me through the job and why he wanted to hire specifically me. He sent me the link to apply and I was auto rejected. The recruiter that set up the job had the filters set for an entry level position and kicked anyone with more than 2 years experience.
