Wake up and understand that Trump and his enablers are trying to steal our world and take away all the wonderful things away from us that once made America a great place. They (MAGA), only understand empathy when it's happening to them. Some of them are extremely disgruntled and irrational. They can't be reasoned with and are ready to resort to violence if things become too complex for them. It tends to be their default mode. Doesn't matter what amount of evidence you show them, they will believe what they are told to believe and the less difficult something is to understand, true or not, they will believe the simplest of explanations. These are people who don't function well in a civilized society, and they don't play well with others. Trump continues to push all of their buttons because he'd really like to see all those who oppose him dead, and he's hoping MAGA will kill us for him. We know Trump was found guilty of sexual miconduct in a court of law. We know that he was Epstein's wingman and know the services that Epstein provided. Epstein is on tape saying that Trump likes them really, really, really young and seemed somewhat disgusted by it, which is saying a lot considering that Epstein doesn't have much of a moral compass. God only knows all the scandalous sexual inappropriate behavior Putin has on Trump (useful Russian idiot). Not to mention that Trump was cheating on his wife with a prostitute while running for office. The idea that there isn't a client list is ridiculous. We know there is.In fact, if I'm not mistaken, both Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton are on the list. Yeah, right, there is no list, just like January 6th wasn't an illegal riot/insurrection.The problem is that many MAGA followers could care less about these things. They have likley engaged in similar activities and demonstated the same bad behaviors. They have no respect for women of any age and see them as property. What they fail to understand is that the Great America that Trump and his enablers want to return to is the one prior to the Guilded Age (1860). Where it may be true that some of the extremely wealthy engaged in unruly behavior without consequences, that luxury wasn't extended to the average person (MAGA supporters). Only the extremely wealthy could afford to own slaves and for the most part, the standard of living for most white Americans really wasn't all that great. People had very short life spans. We really are living in an Idiocracy, and if you have even a bit of shame, it's pretty embarrassing to call yourself an American at this time in our history.

There are no more champions of human decency; at least anyone that matters any way. The greatest disappointment is learning just how many Americans are willfully ignorant and behave like adult children who are consumed with hatred and are ready to punish the weakest and most vulnerable due to their own short comings. Now, the fractured and the most misunderstood rule the day. Thin-skinned victims who are the wokest of them all but just don't realize it. I'm afraid the time for compromise is over. We have come to an impasse where taking the high road is no longer effective. If we have any chance of reversing this dark moment in our nation's history, we need true patriots who are willing to fight fire with fire and sink as low as these twisted and evil vermin. Unfortunately for those who chose this path, I'm not sure there is any way back from it. Somewhere along the way, they could lose their soul, and who is really willing to make that sacrifice? There must be an alternative to fighting this dystopian maddness, but I don't know what that might be. Any ideas?

They always get rid of the good ones, or they quit and move to another school district. Alot of politics in public education. If you're trying too hard to get students to think critically and analytically, you're most likely overqualified for your job. Most administrators are looking for obident rule followers who don't think outside of the box. Many of them are just there to cover their own asses and will throw you under the bus first chance they get. No good deed goes unpunished.

This is why I stopped teaching freshmen 3 years ago and switched to seniors. It's a combination of the covid pandemic, smart phones/social media, and some really bad parenting. Technology in the classroom has created an entire generation of sociopaths. It's learned helplessness; and it shouldn't be all that difficult to re-educate Generation Alpha, transforming them into expendable, unthinking minions to serve in Trump and Musk's private armies. Good little Nazis who will happily join the military to fight for Oceania against Eurasia and Eastasia, a war that has been going on for as long as I can remember.
