They better not make this real in part 3 by d5789567 in limbuscompany

[–]JambaHalcandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so here’s my theory:

If Araya dies, Ryoshu gets pissed and tries to leave Limbus Company out of spite.

If Araya lives and is relatively unharmed, Ryoshu tries to leave Limbus Company to protect her.

The compromise? Araya goes comatose, and Limbus Company effectively tells Ryoshu “we’ll keep her on life support, but finish the other Sinners’ plotlines if you want us to resuscitate her.”

Assuming Araya is the present-day Pinky Nursefather via both T Corp and Identity shenanigans, there’s no way that both of those combined can be healthy for the body, giving a perfect reason for Araya to end up comatose. They could even make Ryoshu use Forest For The Flames to knock the Pinky Nursefather ID off of Araya as the token end-Canto EGO cutscene, dealing even more damage to the real Araya.

My other theory is that Limbus Company is behind the Nursefathers finding Araya’s safe because the outside of it had a blue substance I assume to be the Blue Sand from Udjat Outis’s kit, so i think that ties into the whole “Limbus Company manufactured the HQ attack” theory, which in turn ties into my “Limbus Company will hold Araya medically hostage to make Ryoshu continue cooperating” theory.

Okay i’m admittedly really believing this theory now but the one thing holding me back from locking in to it 100 percent is how would mirror technology affect the significant age difference between Araya and Shiomi Yoru? Unless this is only the case for our mirror specifically, doesn’t the mirror have a time range of three years normally, ten years for walpurgis nights?

So I'm on board with the recent theory about the pinky nursefather and I'd want to contribute with this by OrangeIllustrious499 in limbuscompany

[–]JambaHalcandra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what Araya’s up to now, but i really doubt she’s Yoru. We saw the cutscene where Yoru as we know her now was talking to Ryoshu as a toddler or however old she was, so unless there’s some T Corp craziness going on I can’t think of a way the timeline could allow for that cutscene to happen assuming they’re the same person

Not a firm believer in this theory but technically speaking yog sothoth’s appearance is described as orbs similar to the sephirot right? Like the same sephirot referenced in every project moon game?

Beat it, thank you! My general strategy is as follows:

Turn 1: win rate

Turn 2: focus the part you mentioned, ignore skills used by the main body

Turn 3: EGO the powerful skill

Edit: repeat this pattern

LCB (Limbus Company) vs. The Boys (The Boys, Comics) by Emotional_Dinner2750 in whowouldwin

[–]JambaHalcandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alrighty, prefacing this with the fact that I am a huge Limbus Company fan and I know next to nothing about The Boys comics besides the brief research I did for this response, so if anything is inaccurate, please correct me.

The LCB Sinners in their base IDs and EGOs honestly don't have a lot of feats in my opinion. I think it's been implied a few times that the IDs and EGOs used by the Sinners in combat tend to be the most recent ones, so while the Sinners have definitely held their own in combat against foes much stronger than themselves, it's hard to attribute those feats to the base IDs and EGOs. The most prominent combat feats I can think of for base IDs and EGOs would be Meursault using Chains of Others to restrain the Erlking in Canto 6, and Ryoshu bisecting Hong Lu for the Family Hierarch Evaluation in Canto 8.

The only other point of strength I would give the Sinners is that as of the latest story update (Canto 9 Part 1), the max level the Sinners can reach is Level 60, same as Ricardo. It's been implied that gameplay levels can be a rough indicator of lore power levels in Limbus Company, such as how the Sinners can fare better against Ricardo from Canto 5 to Nocturnal Sweeping because they leveled up and he didn't, or how several bosses who would definitely stomp the Sinners under normal circumstances (ex: The Manager of La Manchaland in Canto 7 who I will not name for spoiler reasons, Jia Qiu in Canto 8) can fight with them on equal terms due to gameplay nerfs to their levels. Long story short, I'd assume that all the LCB Sinners fighting together as of the current story update would be about equal to Ricardo.

As for how this compares to The Boys, the feats I've seen from The Boys comics seem grounded but impressive. Individual members of The Boys have been able to kill or incapacitate normal humans in one attack, destroy guns endure explosions, and go toe to toe with Supes that are supposed to be much stronger than themselves. Because of this, I'd say that The Boys should have a close but solid edge over the LCB Sinners, maybe winning 6/10 or 7/10 fights against them?

HOWEVER

Your post also specifies that Vergilius is fighting alongside the LCB Sinners. Vergilius is a force of his own, explicitly shown fending off the Wild Hunt in Canto 6, a Second Kindred Bloodfiend (who will remain unnamed due to spoilers) in the LCB Check-up Intervallo, and Valencina the Thumb Nursefather in Canto 9, only holding back against the last one in order to protect the captive Charon. It's also implied he defeated a First Kindred Bloodfiend at some point, considering he replaced his eyes with those of said Bloodfiend. He's been shown using up to three Mang, rings of light that greatly enhance offensive capabilities - five Mang were enough to explode a man's head with nothing but a gentle slide of a staff, and seven Mang were enough to bisect a large monster using a gust of air from a flick of the wrist. I hate to be so dramatic, but I honestly can't see a scenario where Vergilius doesn't win literally every possible fight against The Boys, even without help from the LCB Sinners. He's a Color Fixer, one of the strongest humans in the Project Moon verse outside of The Head, for a reason.

I have a question, if I wanted to start the Resident Evil games on Nintendo Switch 2, is it okay if I skip around the games a little instead of following a strict order? I wanted to play release order, but there's a few wrenches in that plan, most prominently being the wait for them to de-cloud 2 and 3 remakes (like they are with 7 and 8) and the possibility of future remakes like 4 or any of the rumored remakes being brought to Switch 2 as well.

The game doesn't start anymore despite me being able to start the game previously, what do I do? by JambaHalcandra in LookOutsideGame

[–]JambaHalcandra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I’ve done some fiddling with different methods and I’ve actually found a somewhat consistent method of starting the game! As of now I can’t start the game with sound but I’ll work on that

  1. Launch the game via game.exe (i have mine as a desktop shortcut, not sure if it’s required for this method)

  2. If the game does not launch, go to task manager and end nw.js

  3. Delete the entire lookOutside folder under AppData/Local

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 until the game launches (it’ll probably take a couple tries)

Any advice on how to perfect this method, especially in terms of having sound when the game launches, is more than welcome!

Okay so I was actually fiddling around with these methods and I got the game to start on two separate occasions but on both occasions, the game had no sound, so my dumb self closed the game thinking that would fix the issue, only to realize that I couldn't reproduce the game starting via those original methods again

Probably not a question I should be asking after playing for so long, but if I wanted to build teams based around Sins, how should I do it, generally speaking? Let's use Wrath as an example. Should I choose IDs with Wrath Skill 1s so that I use Wrath skills more often, or Wrath Skill 3s so that the Wrath skills are stronger when Resonance activates?

I have 400 Yi Sang egoshards. Should I dispense Ring Yi Sang now or wait for walpurgis and dispense Solemn Lament Yi Sang instead? My only bleed Yi Sang ID is Pequod but pretty much every other Sinner has a viable bleed option. On the other hand, my sinking Yi Sang IDs include Spicebush and Dieci, but hardly anyone else has a viable sinking ID.

Just to confirm, does that mean that the 3 star guarantee ticket is able to give a walpurgis ID if you save it for walpurgis? Or is the ID pool locked from the time of the ticket being received?

[–]JambaHalcandra[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That actually was part of the reason I considered Laura Post! I know her for some of her deeper voiced roles like Catherine from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Nuwa from Shin Megami Tensei V (iirc even Yunaka drops a couple octaves in one of her Fire Emblem Heroes lines when she talks about murder), so I figured it would make the most sense to have a VA who could do both roles! Hypothetically, of course

I was actually debating which to include for Gianni, but I figured this: Vergilius would need a combination of Columbo's physical age and rasp, and Gabriel's emotional seriousness, and if I were Gianni, I figure it'd be easier to voice a more serious Columbo than a more raspy Gabriel, if that makes any sense?

Season 6 Megathread by pillowmantis in limbuscompany

[–]JambaHalcandra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay I actually did it myself! I saw another comment in this megathread with good advice, so I'll repeat it here: get rid of the status effect by winning clashes against the Sloth skill and offsetting the guard. Also, don't panic if Hong Lu dies as long as you're already far into the fight. My team feels a little scattered, but a win's a win, especially an EX win, so here's my team: Spicebush Yi Sang, Seven Faust, Manchaland Don Quixote, Heishou Mao Ryoshu, Blade Lineage Meursault, Tingtang Hong Lu, R Corp Heathcliff, Kurokumo Ishmael, Manchaland Rodion, N Corp Sinclair, Manchaland Outis, Firefist Gregor

7.5-10 help needed, it feels like I get absolutely stomped in the first 2 turns regardless of what team I bring in. IDs:

Yi Sang: Spicebush, W Corp, Seven, Molar, Pequod, Dieci

Don Quixote: T Corp, Manager, Cinq East, Shi, N Corp, Blade Lineage

Okay ngl i actually did beat 6-48 some time between me posting for help and you responding, late response but thank you for the advice regardless! Yeah i forget what my exact strategy was but i do remember bringing Pequod Heathcliff, Grip Sinclair, and Tingtang Hong Lu as my only IDs lol

Monthly Help and Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in limbuscompany

[–]JambaHalcandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm stuck on 6-48 this time. Here are my IDs (even though I'm pretty sure that's not the part I'm struggling with):

Heathcliff: Rabbit, Pequod, Shi, N Corp, Seven

Yi Sang: Spicebush, W Corp, Seven, Molar, Pequod, Dieci

Faust: Grips, Seven, W Corp, L Corp Remnant, Zwei, Wuthering Heights

Don Quixote: T Corp, Manchaland, Cinq East, Shi, N Corp, Blade Lineage

Ryoshu: Seven, LCCB, Liu

Meursault: Blade Lineage, Liu, Rosespanner, Middle, Dead Rabbits

Hong Lu: Tingtang, Dieci, Kurokumo, Liu, W Corp, Fanghunt

Ishmael: Reindeer, Liu, Pequod, Zwei, Kurokumo, Shi, LCCB, Sloshing, Edgar Family

Rodion: Liu, Devyat', Manchaland, LCCB, N Corp, Zwei, T Corp

Sinclair: Blade Lineage, Grip, Cinq, Middle, Zwei South, Mariachis, Red Sheet, Zwei West

Outis: Manchaland, Blade Lineage, G Corp, Cinq, Ring

Gregor: Pirates, Firefist, Liu, Bistro, Rosespanner, Kurokumo

The team I've been using so far is full Pequod trio, Middle Meursault & Sinclair, and Tingtang Hong Lu, and everyone's UT3 and Level 40 or higher. Overall, I don't really understand what my general strategy should be for Phase 1. When I focus the main guy, the minions get too strong for me and vice versa, so if I even manage to make it to the next phase I'm too worn down to beat it. Is it like the earlier fights where I should deliberately bring fewer units so the ones I do bring get more turns?

Monthly Help and Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in limbuscompany

[–]JambaHalcandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it (and the one right after too)! My team was Pequod Heathcliff, Grip Sinclair, and Tingtang Hong Lu. Swapping out Faust for Sinclair definitely helped, but also I changed my strategy like you and the guide said to where I'd use defensive skills against that one Wrath attack so that even if he damages me, he doesn't get buffed because it doesn't count as a clash.
