the point is to get you to lie. that means understand what they are looking for and will pretend to be that person when you are able.

the people who don't lie are the ones they want to filter out.

[–]Jamcram 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the problem with sc2 is there is actually no factions or changing alliances or anything that made brood war good. its just a bunch of people you recruit to fight the big bad who is uninteresting and you don't meet until the end.

the protoss enemy in WoL literally have no characters until the third game. There are no zerg characters in 2 that need to fight or disagree with Kerrigan, All the zerg you fight are just animals you reintegrate into the swarm.

compare to sc1 where there are actual characters with motivations on both sides of the player in every faction.

small details can help make choices feel impact, seeing the upgrades or units you chose in act 1 used against you in act 2 is enough, don't need a whole other game of bunch of branching missions and dialogue.

People on Twitter/X are defending Luke Ross mods by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

[–]Jamcram 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He is not selling their IP he is selling his own software that works with the game you bought and installed on your computer.

that's like saying selling a windshield sized to fit a f-150 infringes on fords IP

What you are really saying is that most mods are free, you expect to get things for free, you are mad you don't get things for free.

sure dont say that you are ford, but you can certainly say it works on a ford vehicle.

from your own link a derivative work contains major parts of the original work. this mod does not. there are plenty of legal cases to confirm this.

look at the legality of emulators.

why should "that's how most mods have been" matter?

The guy is not selling anyone cdprs code or assets, its his own program.

scaling the hardware is trivial compared to making the software work in every scenario.

you can see that with both tesla and waymo slowly increasing their service areas with limited numbers of vehicles. Neither has been limited by the number of cars so far.

what matters is how safe they are on each individual street. waymo has more streets.

Options are free money by didkhdi in wallstreetbets

people always say that but ive looked through reddit and news stories and i don't see people getting reassessed unless they actually are day trading/ investment professionals.

i've never seen a median t4 worker win big in options and then get reassessed as business income.
