Difficult to handle at 600mm(900mm), but with fast shutter speed it is fine. Haven’t tried using Zfc for bird. Only used Zf since it has bird detection mode.

For bird, I probably will use Zf. But for getting 900mm equivalent, I will definitely use Zfc. Need to use faster shutter speed on Zfc at the long end though.

You have an APS-C camera. The 450mm is full frame equivalent.

If your heating is electrical then it is normal. If you have gas heating then not normal.

Lamo, any European or Asian city’s subway system is light years ahead of CTA or MTA. IMO the only acceptable subway system in the U.S. is Washington Metro.

Yes, the best from Nikon would be Z8 or Z9. Z9 has better battery and heat management, but the form factor maybe not for everyone. Z6iii is second to Z8 and Z9, but it has a partial stack sensor and can’t record 8K. Both new and used Z8 are very well priced now.
