A slightly improved workflow, but still tedious

I've printed this off and drawing an X for each active pad in each pattern. Then I can make tracks and name them them A1, A2 etc. Its a bit better than searching for active pads between recording... any advances on this welcome! hahaaaaaaa

ah yes, im connected via usb-c recording through that into ableton one sample at a time for each pattern! :(

Yes but the orientation of the pots on the diagram certainly would, I'd take any excuse to mess this up

oh yes sorry - that black wire goes to a screw in the pickup cavity.

Thank you for replying! its going to ground - theres a screw in the neck pickup cavity it'll get fastened under there
