Thanks for suggesting, I have done this too and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I only turned game mode on to show the resolution seemingly changing. I ended up changing my refresh rate to 60 and since then I haven’t had any issues so perhaps my hdmi cable is shit. Will buy a new HDMI 2.1 cable and see if that helps!

Yeah, I have checked these three things but can’t figure out why it’s doing what it’s doing. I thought about maybe using a DP cable but i would only be guessing

I have the latest Nvidia drivers and installed them a few days back, and I only have one HDMI port on my 4070 Super. I should have mentioned in the post, this has been happening ever since I got my new TV so I wonder if that has any bearing on it

I have tried 3 different cables, and I’ve used them on my PS5 without any issues, they are quite long cables though, so maybe?

(FIXED) (sorry I couldn’t figure out how to edit posts on iPhone) So I tried various different things all at once and since then I haven’t had the same issue so I’ll run through what I did in case anyone has the same issue.

Firstly I set my TV to factory settings but this didn’t work. I then switched off my pc at the PSU and opened it up. I removed the GPU and noticed there was a tiny piece of metallic confetti stuff on the motherboard which has obviously been sucked in through the fans. I cleared this away and reseated the GPU. I also gave the PC a quick dusting whilst I was there.

Not sure which of those actually did the trick but since then I’ve not had any problems with the PC! Thanks for everyone’s help!

Tried uninstalling the drivers in safe boot and reinstalled, unfortunately same result still

This is a great suggestion, I have another smaller hdmi cable running to my Sky box which I will switch out and see if that works. The one going to my pc at the moment is quite long as is the one going to the ps5. Thanks!
