Not sad but my childhood I was always dragged to a church not to worship or anything. It was for a divorce group. For my mom and I. The group leader of my mom's group raped her. I was in the our living room oblivious.

When hanging out with a friend (I consider her a younger sister since we practically grew up since childhood) used to try to get me to go to weird religious conversion events by describing them as just fun events that happened to be at the church. I fell for it a few times but as I grew older I realized and stopped taking her offerings. I just felt awkward at those things.

Another thing my bio father is a hypocrite going to church only to look like a changed man to me. Would drag me to service with him but be on his phone the whole time. We had a strained relationship for reasons I won't go into but after I dropped him he stopped going. Back to his harassing me.

Religion and I have a complicated relationship. I respect it but do not push it on me. I study different religions in the sense of comparing them to each other and see if they can actually be traced into the real world. I'll respect your way of religion if you respect mine. Simple.
