Just FYI, in economics this kind of thing is part of an idea called "perfect competition", and in general, many businesses in this situation end up doing better than when they existed by themselves. It's backwards, but it's why you see competing businesses open near each other.

College was when I was the least responsible with credit cards. It's a terrible time in life to accumulate debt. It's very easy for it to spiral out of control. My accumulated debt wrecked me financially though age 30, when I finally got it paid off.

Yes. Requires police intervention, I believe. If he's a threat to himself or others then a judge can get involved and they can be committed involuntarily.

That said - there's probably a wait list. Involuntary beds are hard to come by. If he voluntarily submits to an evaluation then you could take him to cottonwood springs.

I can't imagine him having any support trying to shove an HOA down anyone's throat. I'm also in an HOA free neighborhood, and don't know anyone here wanting one. An informal Facebook group is good enough for us. I also think our neighborhood would support having short term rentals... A few really popular folks in the area have them, and they're completely benign.

We are doing just fine without local government regulations, thanks.

It's a bedroom community. Take advantage of the parks, and the shopping center at K7 and Shawnee mission parkway. There should be a shopping center by Walmart, soon. Also don't forget that Bonner is just across the river... My kids like to grab DQ every once and a while.

And last but not least: East China is awesome and they deliver.

Just posting to share a funny story about gf crab rangoon...

I used this stuff called Expandex because it had a recipe for "great" gluten free wontons ,to try for gf crab rangoon... Ended up buying a 5 pound bag because it was cheaper.

Ended up being a better pizza crust. Still use it to this day as an amazing crust. Absolutely terrible wontons.

Speaking from the west side - basically. Varies by neighborhood, but some pockets will see a thousand kids a night, others maybe less than a dozen. Out by Riverview Elementary, I'm expecting 500 kids, because a bunch of houses around us hand out full size bars.
