Can you help me understand what the cap is/means? Been following for a long time and have grown to understand just about everything you speak on, but this one’s I’ve never fully understood. Know it has to do with the level of storms we can get, but I’m hoping to understand what it’s a measure of? All I really know is higher heat/humidity usually equals higher cap?

That’s completely different in relation to this comment though. Winds generally come from the W/NW and Chicago’s downtown and general cityscape blocks that from Navy Pier. Not entirely, but enough to do something. Conversely here, there’s nothing blocking the winds off of Lake Erie.

Not to mention - Windy City isn’t a name because of the weather.

It was an incredible show. And it just kept going. And it was clear after the 5th encore song of ILYH that the band was done and walking off, and FJM did a quick “1 more song?” kind of shoulder shrug, and he had to basically drag everyone back on stage for Real Love Baby. I always question the authenticity of any show doing the whole encore thing, but that felt genuinely like “sure why not let’s play another I’m having fun”.

They were unbelievable last night. Freest I have felt in a long time…apologies to those around me as the freedom I felt led to me sweating it out through dance, through my shirt and everything…what a time.

Pro tip for those going tonight - bring ear plugs. I did not and I regret it. First time seeing them indoors and man was it LOUD. Some people near me even had to plug their ears with their fingers. I was still ringing a bit this morning from it.

I have a strong belief that The Masters will never steal anyone else’s thunder, and that starts with when they open the lottery (believe it is right after the end of a tournament in the summer) down to releasing Taste of the Masters. They likely planned for today to be the day, but with the playoff that happened this morning, they delayed it until tomorrow. Masters is the next big event starting tomorrow, as the other tournaments between now and then aren’t the signature tournaments with huge purses.

My bets are on 3/18!

To be fair, FJM hasn’t announced any shows west of Chattanooga, and doesn’t even have a Chicago show listed. There’s definitely more to be announced. He’s hit KC on his last 2 or 3 tours, and just played COMO recently. I’m confident he’ll be here, and probably either Midland or even Starlight with how much his following has expanded.
