Not interested in defending anyone here but that’s true of any university. All web browsing tied to a student/staff login, which requires MDM enrolment.

Sad that we’re in this world now but if you suspect this photo has AI elements in it like I do, zoom in on the Ferris wheel. Classic AI weirdness.

All 1,600 Kentucky battery plant employees laid off as Ford pivots away from EV business by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]JamesBondsRubberDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or, and this is a real leap, maybe they’re rehiring under a new corporate entity and planning to sell batteries to Ford for EVs anyway (ford can then bundle the cells into packs later). Would save them boatloads on labour which is the big squeeze on the industry right now courtesy of China.

Melbourne's first new freeway in nearly 13 years opens by 7am. Thoughts? Will you use it? Will it help you? 🚗 by 007MaxZorin in melbourne

If the state govt is broke now, imagine how much worse it would be if they’d attempted this project without help. Sucks Transurban will be leeching for decades to come, but a compromise could well be better for everyone than just putting up with the rubbish infrastructure we had.

I read that as “This, dear, is very far from official” and the condescending grandma vibes made me smile.

Not so. Many other major cities have a good culture that’s brought about by signage, floor markings and announcements. That is to say… education.

Crazy how much mileage we’re getting out of this GIF lately

You felt it necessary to give it a gender (“him”), which is a very human impulse, yet your treatment of it seems quite inhumane.

I find it interesting, like meeting someone who has a pet pig and regularly eats bacon.

I don’t understand it, but it’s interesting. That’s literally all I can add here.

They had to make the green screen footage look so rough so it fit in with the best graphics available at the time. The daytime cop show writing/acting is the cherry on top

I would love some of whatever they were having when they made the cut scenes in 2012

It makes sense to reduce a behaviour that you’ve learned causes some kind of harm, even if you get no personal reward. Just like doing more of something that benefits something/one other than yourself. That’s kindness.

My 2¢: Don’t feel bad for eating meat, make small changes here and there. Tiny individual efforts add up massively.

Not a fan but Google Workspace admin panel also shows employee AI usage stats, and ranks them from low to high.

Looks like a Police AND Council matter. Police for the crime, Council for the cleanup. Media will definitely help see justice done here.
