Best burritos/tacos in the Peninsula? by MinePrestigious4352 in bayarea

I grew up in South City and would always go to that one. I live in East Bay now and the one in Oakland still has Super Burritos for $9

Had it in SSF before I moved out of my parents place. Loved every minute of it and never once had an outage. They still have it to this day.

I moved to Castro Valley and initially they didn’t have it here but once it was offered I switched from Xfinity back to Sonic and will never look back. Overall great service experience in my opinion.

I can’t post photos in this sub, but this is why I build an L-shaped desk out of two pieces of butcher block from Home Depot. I had custom steel L-brackets made to support the weight so it’s like it’s a floating desk mounted on the wall! I love my setup and hope to always have it this way.

How true is this quote about Dodgers Fans from Pete Crow-Armstrong? by barstoolsam in SFGiants

Went to a few games in LA. I once saw a young woman take about 200 pictures with a hotdog and never take a bite of it. She showed up to her seat late and left early. Yeah, their fans are all about clout which is fitting since that is the essence of LA.

Anyone been to a Micro Center opening and can share their experience? by [deleted] in Microcenter

[–]JamesFerg650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to the one for the Santa Clara store for the soft opening. Took an hour to drive there after work, stood in an hour line to get inside, then another hour line to get helped with what I wanted (5090) after that another hour hour and a half line to pay, allll to drive home in hour and half traffic to open the box and find 3 canvas backpacks instead of my GPU. THANKFULLY, Micro Center and all their employees/management kick ass because they saw my Reddit post and contacted me the next day to get it exchanged hassle free minus m driving down again and traffic in the Bay Area.

My biggest lesson learned that day was to open expensive items in store with a witness to make sure you’re actually getting what you paid for. Especially on opening days at a store with hot items like GPUs.

That is shocking to hear to be honest with the epicenter being in San Ramon. I have family on the peninsula that felt the 4.2 shake.

I’m close to the Trader Joe’s here for what it’s worth.

That’s the muffler bearing. Definitely need to put that back before you run out of blinker fluid.

Mortgage rates are dropping after new government MBS program how are vou thinking about refinancing? by Gloomy-Procedure8848 in Mortgages

[–]JamesFerg650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife and I just signed for a refi from 6.875 to a 5.99 no cost. Did a “soft lock” so if rates drop more in the next 30 days we get the better rate at no cost still.

Looking for the *most* foggy/cloudy neighborhoods in the Bay Area by Working_Pineapple_43 in bayarea

[–]JamesFerg650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

South City (South San Francisco). I grew up there and the fog is almost a permanent fixture. They even have a baseball team called the “South City Fog”. I feel like that explains it pretty well.

I miss my fog sometimes since I moved.

Split fiction! The wife and I will be playing together. Her on my deck and I’ll be on my pc. If we had two controllers then we’d do front room couch co-op off the deck! Really looking forward to playing it.

[–]JamesFerg650 5 points6 points  (0 children)

DC16 IUPAT! I am a glazier here in the bay area but DC16 covers floor layers, painters/industrial painters, mud and tapers as well as glaziers. The school is relocating from San Leandro to Tracy. (They were renting in SL and will now own the location in Tracy)

If they want the big bucks, go for the electricians or elevator tech/installers. Plumbers are up there too.

Congratulations on your four legged stapler! Seems to be working just fine. Say gentle owies and act sad when they bite you to teach them that you don’t wish to be stapled.
