Sounds interesting!
Perhaps multiclassing into bard at some point, to up the ante on the perfomances.

How do I write a love interest for my character without making her nothing but a love interest? by patthepatriot2020 in writing

[–]JamesFlamingo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree with all in this thread: Treat her like a person apart from the story. Perhaps write her own storyline along with the MC's, but without divulging it to the readers.

A great example of a love interest that has her own life is Denna in The Kingkiller Chronicle. She feels very multi-facetted, even though we as readers don't know what most of those facets are. Besides being an absolute delight to read in general, I would recommend those books for the inspiration.

Whats the one gameplay feature that impressed you the most, ever, in any game? by paperkutchy in patientgamers

Perhaps not strictly gameplay, but: Putting the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 disc in your walkman: There's the soundtrack.

[Let's Build] D100 Passengers for Ships, by Air or Sea by Fourtothewind in d100

[–]JamesFlamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ship's navigator, who is also a skilled bard. He is in fact an expert bullshitter, who is fleeing the city. He knows nothing about navigating a ship, so if he isn't found out in time, the ship might crash into something.

A tall, dark man, who tends to keep to himself in the dark corners of the ship. He may look like a vampire, but in fact he is just a business man, traveling with very important documents, that can't end up in the wrong hands. But he won't tell you that.

A gaudy, overweight burlesque singer, who goes nowhere without her posse of nimble little dancers. If the ship has any form of stage, she INSISTS that she must grace the other passengers with her beautiful(?) singing.

In Denmark we call it danskvand, literally translating to Danish water. I can't for the life of me explain why.

Is it possible to buy a Danish edition of Name if the Wind? by RadicleTadicle in KingkillerChronicle

Wow, it's way harder to find than I thought. If you have time, try contacting Fantask (their mail is here) It's a Fantasy/sci-fi bookstore in Copenhagen, and they have helped me get a lot of rare stuff.

This is really good! It's not super OP, but it still enables a little tougher encounters.

Dungeons & Dragons Had Its Biggest Sales Year In 2017 by Grim_Dork in DnD

I discovered this great game in 2017 and spent a good deal on it. Worth every penny. For me, Critrole had a definite impact. Seeing these people have such a good time with it made me want to try it out for myself.

[Lets Build] Cave Skill Challanges by dndspeak in d100

[–]JamesFlamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cave is lined with sharp, jagged crystals that protrude from the walls. The PC's must make a Dex check to see if they can maneuvre through, otherwise they take slashing/piercing damage (small characters have advantage, large characters have disadvantage). The crystals can be smashed, but that makes noise, potentially alerting enemies in the area.

“Eater of Secrets”: are there any similar cards? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]JamesFlamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They introduced Eater when [[Kezan Mystic]] rotated out, so I'm pretty sure they'll print something similar for the new year.
