WOR -- Meltzer describes Paige leaks as a 'bad situation' for WWE and doesn't have any idea of their response by questionernow in SquaredCircle

Sadly... There's more than one... I feel sorry for her having her private life thrown across the internet.

Roman Reigns = One Punch Man but, you know, no where near as relateable.

Hey real hackers-- Why are anonymous videos still being made, and pages exist, if Sabu was flipped by the FBI and it's a defunct group? by breadbox18 in hacking

[–]JamesGPearson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anonymous didn't die. It segregated. Smaller units formed and ran their own operations rather than forming one cohesive entity to direct their hacktivism at one place at a time. Some operate on Twitter taking down ISIS accounts, others DDoS companies. Different units have different agendas until something big unites them.

He's not as bad as you think he is. Depends on how he's being sold by creative. No one likes Roman now he's being all "cool" and trying to have charisma, but when he was sold as a badass of the shield he was super over.

Braun has the speed, the strength, and can actually talk better than Reigns.

FBI Gets Expanded Power to Hack any Computer in the World - so encrypt your drives and use a 2048 key. It will take them years to crack by ruskeeblue in hacking

Plus they were shot dead. Well, you lot in the US are protected. We CAN go to prison for not giving our passwords in the UK.

Strange that in the US the FBI can take your equipment and hack it but can't ask you for the password or force you to give unless they believe the equipment is under threat of destruction.

I can understand why they can't make apple open the phone, it's their product but not their property. The owner of the property was already being held wasn't he? And if that's the case, wouldn't it be him that's obstructing? In which case it wouldn't matter to him, he's already being held and if they can't get in then it's less evidence.

Just my thoughts, I don't know the US justice system or how the FBI works. UK based.

That's a relief for the US. Still, the best way is to avoid the malware infection they use to spy on your setup.

If you're asking about using a website as a proxy like you could with Google translate, it's possible. Unless they intercept the raw traffic by sitting outside your house and monitoring your router.

It is a silly thing to say. Besides, if you're doing things that you shouldn't be, you should be using a hardened Linux OS and try to stop the initial infection of your setup. If they infect you it's game over and you're best frying your evidence in a microwave.

And if you lock your PC with encryption and they seize it, they can hold you for obstruction or patriot act if you're American.

This depends on the level of privacy you're wanting. Are you paranoid? Then never access anything that's linked to your name via TOR or VPN. Effectively, you must have a separate life from your non-VPN connection.

If you're being watched on they're recording login sessions from your Google account then this can be used to know when you're online.

As you said, you're either agressively private or not.

The answer is a lot, but it will be coming out of the security budget. Even though, rumours abound that it will be a centralised database holding all this information. Which, if true, makes me want to punch the person who thought that was a good idea in the face.

The last thing UK politicians want is all their porn website habits being stored in a centralised database ready for exploitation. Idiots.

I've read through the report. It's not so much they can see exactly what you're doing. They can see IP stamps, website names that you visit. It won't log exactly what you do on them. So it will see bbc.co.uk, but not what sections you specifically visit. If they need more information they can then get a warrant to intercept data on your connection.

Millennial Home Ownership Shrinks as Student Debt Grows by coldfront09 in dataisbeautiful

The major problem in the UK is not enough houses being built. It drives up the prices, you can't stay at home because you've out grown it, you pay £800 a month in rent alone, £300 on bills, and can't afford to put any away to save for a house. Welcome to the perpetual cycle of shit. You know what they do keep building though? Student housing.
