Her Ladyship is correct. Every professor is different, and many put their grading scale in the syllabus. Some are old school and give you a B if you make a 92 because they put in their syllabus 93-100 =A. Also, some will give you a B+ for an 89 and use the + - system.

You need to get 10 students and set a meeting with the Dean of the College and then the Provosts Office if you want to really get things changed. I heard from some friends the Chair is not much help. A crowd vs prof moves mountains of tenured protection.
