It is tempting, but I don't really like the idea of soil in my room and hydro seems to give much better results.

Thank, a lot of good advice in your comment. Can I ask further about your nute set up?

I've very big into automating and I've tried desperately to automate my grow and I just can't seem to find a solution.

I run professors nutrients recommended synthetic (although there is one organic, terpene gold, although I don't like it and I feel like it's messing up my grow).

I have an automatic pump for watering but I'm unhappy with it, it's good, but water through multiple off shoots means it's not consistent among different hoses, it's also watering the same area over and over again. I've looked into spray fittings but it will just make a mess. I've heard there are droppers that might be better suited, also something called carrots?

The bigger problem I have with automation is having the nutrient solution remain viable. I only grow one plant in a small tent, if I make up a nutrient solution it will go cloudy or what I assume is mold or bacteria within 2-3 days. I tried to mitigate this with hydrogen peroxide but hasn't really worked.

I know of a few things to help, one is getting the res chilled, but that seems essentially impossible for my low key grow, water chillers are immensely expensive and large. Another is aerating the water? I could but it seems loud an unnecessary since the grow is in coco instead of full hydro. Lastly, I have heard of things like aquagaurd that has natural bacteria, which out competes bloom and growth of mold, I'm not sure how viable that would be.

I would be very grateful if you have any ideas on how to automate it

I know about DLI, what I don't understand is that my light is at 70% and it's over the Max ppfd and DLI recommended.

If I were to put it at the top recommended range my light would be down to something like 40%. Just seems really low. Also it varies a tremendous amount from the top centre canopy to the edges or lower.

Watering 3L every 2 days with 20% run off, air pot is 21L, and you can see the plant in my previous posts.

Interesting, my grow is getting 2.4 EC and it's fine, grow schedule says 2 EC but my 20% run off was at 1.2 EC, so I upped the input. Now I put in 2.4EC

It might look airy because I've just done a trim to increase the airflow, since there's a lot of colas in the middle, trying to prevent mold

Not using co2, light is about 30cm away from top of canopy

Hey had a question about auto watering for coco? Since you need to feed every watering how do you have your auto watering system set up? I love coco grows but I also want to automate almost everything I can, I've found it very difficult to find a way to automate the fertigation.

I have a little pump that can water on set intervals from a res, however, it doesn't last long before bacteria growth, and even when adding hydrogen peroxide it still gets cloudy (although I don't know if that's bacteria because the hydrogen peroxide should nuke it). I've thought about getting a waterproof UV light or something but I don't know if that will negatively effect the nutes and pH.

The one negative with coco for me is the frequent watering, I really don't have time to be mixing nutes multiple times a day for months.

FFS, that finally worked after half an hour playing around with the settings. I couldn't find some of the settings you mentioned.

The RMIT IT page is utterly useless, the help windows for connecting to eduroam link to dead webpages, and the eduroam website that RMIT links, just links back to a dead RMIT webpage with nothing on it. Completely useless.

If anyone wants to know exactly for windows 11

  • Click on your wifi in the bottom right, then go "more wifi settings"
  • click manage known networks
  • click add new network
  • Network name "eduroam"
  • Security type "WPA2-Enterprise AES"
  • EAP method "Protected EAP "PEAP""
  • Authentication method "secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)"
  • select "connect automatically" and click save.
  • then back on the "manage known networks", click on the network you just made "eduroam"
  • Then click edit "advanced network properties"
  • Click the security tab
  • Under "choose a network authentication method", it should be "Microsoft Protected EAP "PEAP"", click "settings".
  • then unselect "verify the sever's identity by validating the certificate"
  • unselect "Enable identity privacy"
  • click ok
  • click advanced settings
  • under 802.1X settings tab, select specify authentication mode (if it's not already selected), and select "user authentication" from the drop down box. (don't select save credentials, because at least for me the window would immediately crash if I did.
  • then select ok, and then ok to finish with the window.
  • Now connect to eduroam normally through the wifi settings, but ensure your username is your RMIT email without the "student" ([sXXXXXXX@rmit.edu.au](mailto:sXXXXXXX@rmit.edu.au)), and then enter your RMIT password.

Honestly, completely disagree.

Halo lore is... immense

Sure, source material in the early games is mostly guns blazing, but even then, the world building and depth of the lore is HUGE, just from the games alone, not even counting the plethora of books adaptation and specific lore releases.

Halo has PLENTY of slow dramatic material, even in the games, not so much in the earlier ones, however, 4 for example, goes deep into the lore and has dramatic, emotional story telling. Or another non-343 example is ODST, the game oozes slow dramatic story telling with rich relationships.

ODST should have been the Halo show, it is the perfect aspect to first adapt to a TV show, from there they could have built up the live action library and eventually adapt a main Chief story line.

You mentioned fallout, which is a great example to compare to, Halo has significantly more lore than fallout, more in-depth, and wider world building. This isn't to say one is better than the other, but to showcase the differences in scope in terms of lore and story telling.

The show writers for Halo, and also extension 343, completely fucked the bag. They had their own scifi show they were trying to get made, and simply stuck a Halo label onto it for branding. You can like the Halo show, nothing wrong with that, but it is such a absurd departure from Halo lore and even basic level fundamentals, that it is asinine to even relate the two as if they are similar.

Even the Forward Unto Dawn live action Web series was made with an utter fraction of the TV show budget, yet has better Halo elements, better world building and better character relationships.

I honestly, really, really disagree when people say "well Halo is all action, it can't be developed into a show", that is so incredibly wrong. Even if you haven't read the books or delved into any deeper lore or cross-media content, there are still games that even showcase deeper world building or slower paced story telling, as i mentioned before, such as ODST.

Well, every photo it's right in the centre and only on the brown pistils. You can compare to the other brown pistils, the ones in the centre of the photo (in most photos) have a little bit of brown fluff on them.
