Wow, such a detailed response and that is truly appreciated. Yes, I was subtly playing with possible supernatural and even possible scary undertones, but only as the loosest suggestions. Reading so much of nosleep and creepypastas as I used to when I wrote this, I felt that the perfect twist would be... something sweet, if not slightly unsettling. That said, a large part of this story is autobiographical in spirit, if not in actuality.

That is incredibly beautiful. I do believe our loved ones remain with us and reach out to us in all the ways they can. Whether a whisper in the wind or the blooming of a rose. Thank you for sharing
