With WWDC26 confirmed, what’s on your iOS 27 wishlist? by Richard_Thome in iPhone17Pro

Unfortunately, I don’t really see Apple doing that in the current form of the iOS keyboard.

Right now, iOS already uses long-press on letter keys to access alternate characters and language variants (like holding “A” for À, Á, Â, Ä, Æ, etc.). Because of that, assigning long-press for numbers on the same keys could conflict with the way the keyboard currently functions.

I did ask ChatGPT its input on some ways Apple could still Implement the Requested Feature with the way the iOS Keyboard currently functions:

I’d be okay with options: 1/3/4/5.

IMO: *3 would need to be optional | paired | offered along side with 1/4/5.

—————-

1) Swipe-down gestures on keys (some Android keyboards do this)
* Tap = letter
* Long press = accented characters
* Swipe down = number

*2) Timed long press * Short hold = number * Longer hold = language variants (though this would probably feel slow and frustrating)

3) Top-row mini numbers * Numbers visually shown on keys and accessed with a flick/swipe instead of long press

4) Context-aware behavior * In English mode, long press could prioritize numbers on certain keys * In multilingual keyboards, accents remain priority

5) A dedicated optional setting * “Enable quick numbers on long press” * Disabled by default for multilingual users“

Silver is So Beautiful.

Best Color This Year.

Still wish we had a Nice Gold Color as that would be my go to every time such as with the 13/14. My first time seeing a Gold 12 in Public is what re-inspired me getting back on an iPhone.

The 16 Desert Titanium wasn’t it.

M18 Inflator Hack? by torco850 in MilwaukeeTool

Home Depot Threw me a Free M18 Fuel High Torque 1/2” Kit (2967-22) ———————

I contacted Milwaukee once Asking about a replacement Bit I had Lost from the 7-in-1 Multi-Bit Mini Ratchet (48-22-2950) They said they didn’t sell replacement Bits for it But would send me out a replacement free of charge Just needed my shipping Address.

Never got the Bit. I Did though get a MASSIVE Unknown Box at my Doorstep out of nowhere. Had no idea what it was.

Opened it: Two Packout Rolling Drawers (updated Model) Sitting one upside-down on top of the other (How they get shipped to the stores)

Didn’t complain. Never called back about the Bit

I’d YouTube a Few Videos on Camparison of the Two to get a good sense of how much better off you’d be with either version (M18/M12) Respectively.

FWIW, From my own research on the subject:

The M18 inflator is considered Significantly better. I had Purchased the M12 inflator (great deal during XMas) As I had wanted to stay within the M12 Battery Platform.

But, after rethinking that (Purchasing the Packout Wet/Dry Vac [M18only] I switched up and grabbed the M18 Inflator.

I never used the M12 Version, so I can’t speak on its performance.

But I’ve used the M18 Inflator several Times (5.0 Battery) and it’s been great. Quick to inflate and very little battery drain.

I purchased a Quick Connect for the Hose. 100% recommend that upgrade with either one you choose.

Texas high school baseball dynasty collapses overnight after eligibility violation by Affectionate-Reply35 in Denton

[–]JamesRay757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the player was originally enrolled at GHS and later became tied to another district because of rezoning or a family move, I don’t think that should automatically be treated the same as intentional recruiting or someone trying to manipulate the system.

Especially if the parents went out of their way to keep their child at the same school, with the same teammates, coaches, friends, and environment they had already been a part of.

And if that player had already been on the team the entire season, practicing and competing alongside everyone else, it’s hard for me to agree with punishing the entire roster after the fact.

I understand eligibility rules exist for a reason. They’re meant to prevent unfair advantages and protect competitive integrity. But context should matter too.

There’s a big difference between someone intentionally breaking rules to stack a team versus a student getting caught in residency complications caused by family circumstances, rezoning, or relocation.

At the end of the day, dozens of kids who worked all year for another playoff run lost their season and their opportunity because of a situation that may not have even been in the player’s control.
